The red beanie, Tom.

"Yeah, no. That's fine," Hazel said.

Maybe she could like this guy but it was going to be hard. Just like it was with all these guys. He might be flirty but that doesn't mean he is her type, ya know?

"So you like camping?" He asked.

"Yeah, I mean I don't think I would be here if I didn't," she said. Man this guy is really trying to talk.

"Oh, ha, yeah I guess," he said weakly.

Hazel put in an earbud hoping to get the message across that she didn't want to talk to this guy, but not be too upfront about it. She wanted to like this guy right? So she at least had to be nice.

"What music do you listen to?" He asked.

"A variety of things, nothing too spectacular," Hazel said.

I guess he is social, that's supposed to be attractive right?

"Oh, yeah it's nice to be diverse, gives a different sense of the world." He said, with a deep tone to make him seem intellectual or something.

"Mhm, I like listening and not being bothered, it is really calming," Hazel said with a flat smile.

Understand me please Tom!! Please!

"Yeah I totally get what you mean. It is so nice not to have any distractions from the music and just listen..." he said with that tone again.

He's trying. That's good I guess.

"Yeah..."

"What's your favorite color?" He asked.

She made a little sigh, wasn't too noticeable. She was just so tired and she didn't want to talk to anyone. Sure she could do this later maybe even try to enjoy a conversation with a guy but,

Not. Now. Please.

"I am sure she likes lots of colors, but I sort of forgot something over here would you mind if we could switch seats so I can find it?" Cyan said with so much confidence it was stunning.

"Uh- yeah," Tom said and looked at Hazel with some longing in his eyes.

Good riddance.

"Hey sorry you had to go through that, I could see you were a bit out of it there," Cyan sympathized.

"Y-yeah thanks for- for the save," Hazel stuttered, she was nervous again, dang social anxiety.

Cyan put in her earbuds and it was in that moment Hazel saw many piercings, many being stars and studs. She couldn't help but admire.

Hazel went to looking out the window once more thankful for that she no longer had to talk to people.
