Undeniable Romance

DALAWAMPU'T TATLO

        SECOND day of March as I finally to start my work and continue to fulfill my responsibility.

“Welcome back, Ms. December!” Alyse, my secretary greeted me once I reach my office. “I made some hot chocolate for you, Ma'am.” she added as she handed me a cup of chocolate.

“Thank you, Aly!” I smiled at her.

I walk inside my office and still, nothing change. Ganon pa rin ng iwan ko ang opisina ko. It's just that, there's a new frame behind my table. It's our family picture which probably dad's plan.

“What are my schedule today, Aly?” Naupo ako sa aking swivel chair.

I really missed this chair of mine. Kaya ginalaw galaw ko iyon at hindi ko alam, nakangiti na pala ako.

“You have an appointment this morning ma'am at exactly nine o'clock. Yun lang naman ma'am.” Aly told me. “Sabi ho kasi ng Daddy niyo ay huwag na muna kayong bigyan ng sunod sunod na trabaho, Ma'am.” She added.

Napangiti nalang ako. Dad really did that?

“Thank you Aly. I'll just call you, you can leave.” she nod.

I suddenly open my laptop. Dad bought me a new laptop from apple. Silly because I can buy using my own money yet Dad insist himself to pay for this.

I immediately create a new email for my work. I even forwarded it to my secretary for her to inform.

Napanguso nalang ako ng matapos at ma–verify ko iyon.

Ano na ang susunod kong gagawin? I prepared myself pa naman for my first day of work after my one month vacation. Tapos uupo lang naman ako at tutunga sa office ko. I shook my head.

I sip the hot chocolate as I walk towards the window glass to see the beautiful city.

Napatitig ako sa malalaki at matatayog na building sa aking harapan.

“City is really different from province...” I commented.

Nagpalipas lamang ako ng oras sa pagmamasid sa paligid. The view right here is really amazing and beautiful. Maganda rin naman ang city but still, wala ng tatalo pa sa probinsya.

“Ma'am, she's here already. She have an appointment to you schedule at nine o'clock.” Aly inform me from the intercom.

Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo sa sofa at panandaliang tinigil muna ang pagmumuni muni. I go back to my swivel chair and fix myself.

“Ma'am she's here! Papasukin ko na po ba?” Aly step inside my office.

“Yes Aly.” Napaayos ako ng pagkakaupo.

I remain calm as I heard the door close.

“Magandang umaga, architect!” she shyly greeted at me.

“Ti–ta!” I stuttered as I recognize who she is. “Have–a sit po!” Iminuwestra ko ang upuan sa aking harapan.

“Thank you architect.” nakagat ko nalang ang aking labi sa paraan ng pagtawag niya sa akin.

“...just call me December ho.” napaiwas ako ng tingin.

I really don't know why I felt so shy for her right now.

“Hija, I'm straighting you to the point.” she told me.

“Po?”

“Hija, I know you're smart and I'm quite sure na alam mo kung bakit ako nandito.” Tita Caroline speak.
