Undeniable Romance

TATLUMPU'T DALAWA

DECEMBER.

        NAGISING ako sa ingay na nanggagaling mula sa banyo. Napatingin pa ako sa aking tabi ngunit wala naman akong kasama.

“Fuck....” I heard him curse kaya naman ay dali dali akong tinungo iyon kahit na hindi pa man tuluyang nagigising ang aking diwa.

“Baby....what–what happened?” I saw him facing and almost hugging the toilet bowl.

He's vomiting right now like there's no tomorrow.

“I don't know–aaarck!” He vomit once again. Ngunit wala namang lumalabas mula sa kanyang bibig.

My eyebrows creased while rubbing his back.

“Let's go to the hospital, Seve..” I murmured at him.

Nanghahapo itong napaupo.

“Can I have some water, please.” he said.

Mabilis naman akong kumilos at kinuha ito ng tubig.

“What happened, Seve? Why are you vomiting? What did you eat?” I ask him curiously.

“Nothing! I didn't eat my breakfast yet because I'm planning to make some breakfast for us. Nasuka nalang ako bigla.” he explain.

“Let's go to the hospital then. I'm worried!” Sinapo ko ang mukha nito.

“No! I'm feel better. Siguro, magpapahinga lang muna ako...”

“Seve..no!” Mabilis na sabi ko sa kanya.

It's been a week and I don't have any idea why he is acting like this. Is he ill? May tinatago ba ang asawa ko sa akin?

Pero maayos naman ito these past few weeks. As far as I know, wala naman siyang sakit.

Jesus Christ, I might be crazy!

“Seve listen to me...”

“I'm fine now...”

“No! We're going to the hospital right now. Are you hiding something on me, Cervix Nicklaus?” I face him.

“Nothing, of course. I'm not ill, wife. I don't freaking know why am I acting this..” Tumayo na ito. “Come here!” He even pulled me. “..baka dahil lang sa kinain ko kagabi.” he added. 

“Seve..”

“You don't have to worry...” he reach for my face. “I'm okay now...” pagkatapos ay umangat nalang ako sa ere at nalaman ko nalang na buhay buhat na ako nito.

Still, my eyebrows creased while looking at him. Curiousness filled me.

“Seve....” he suddenly put me on bed.

“What do you want for breakfast? I'll make you some...” he ask me. Nakakunot pa rin ako sa kanya.

“You sure? Ako nalang kaya.” I insist as I bit my lower lip.

“Seriously wife? Baka lalo lang sumama ang tiyan ko...aw that hurts babe!” hinampas ko ito.

“I know how to cook....eggs.” nakagat kong muli ang aking labi.

I saw him smiled at me.

“Seve....” Napatili nalang ako ng bigla na lamang siyang pumaibabaw sa akin.

“How about ikaw nalang ang kainin ko?” he even smirk at me.

“No!” I answered at him as I try to push him.
