Chapter two: Rival

16 years later...

It's now early in the morning about, 7 am you must be wondering why I'm up so early but let me tell you. Today is the sugar plum spring festival it's when all the nearby kingdoms come to our kingdom to celebrate am very excited to go, wait a minute aw man Jeimy has to come to this festival. Uhh why does she have to come, she has such a nasty attitude. Well, whatever, I'm not going to let it ruin my day today. I quickly got up from my bed, went to the bathroom, and changed into a simple and light peach pink dress to go to the Village and see the decorations, I mean. today was the Plum Spring Festival. I'm super excited,  Ainsley going to be at the dance tonight and we're going to have so much fun and, we're going to hang out and do whatever we want and my mom said I won't have to dance. with one of the princes coming to the ball, so I was very happy. I quickly got dressed and left my room. I skipped breakfast because I couldn't keep Ainsley waiting. My mom asked why of course I wasn't going to have breakfast with her, so I told her. I  would meet Ainsley she smiled at me and said go ahead, my dear. Then I left the castle, my hair was blowing in the wind and reaching my face, so I tried to brush it off, but when I took my hair out of my face, there was a cart that was literally going to crash into me and then out of nowhere Ainsley grabbed my arm and said, for God's sake, Sophia, be more careful. I gave her a goofy smile and apologized, then she said, oh Sophia, what would you do without me? It's not funny. Ainsley laughed then said come on come on then we both ran towards the village everything looks so beautiful there were peach pink decorations. In the houses, there was peach pink confetti on the ground and there were so many people dancing in the town square and people were selling peaches everywhere it was so beautiful and colorful. Then Ainsley and I ran to the town square and danced with the people after we finished dancing we both went to a cart to buy some delicious peaches then we both had an argument about who was going to pay for them we're arguing for such a long period of time the cart owner said "you know what you can have them for free" then we both looked at each other and laughed when the cart owner left then we both ate our peaches happily and wandered around the town square for a while until I looked at the clock wow it's 7 my mom said I have to be back at 7 then Ainsley looked at her watch and said oh you're right my mom said I have to be back so we both said our goodbyes and said see ya at the dance and then we parted ways my mom glared at me and said Sophia what did I tell you about your time? I looked down at the floor and said mom I'm sorry mom. Well that doesn't matter right now we have to get ready for the dance so my mom called some maids and they took me by the hand and practically got me up and ran to my room after a long time of searching I finally found the dress, it was a beautiful long dress peach-pink that had pink flowers and smelled like peaches. Then the maiden said: oh princess, you will look beautiful in that dress. I smiled at them and said thank you. They told me that dress belonged to my great-grandmother I never knew much about my great-grandmother I only knew that she was highly respected but I never knew that she had very good taste and fashion so I took a bath and the maids did my hair I told them to let my hair down and that's it what they did they put some makeup on me and they put the tiara on me and then I was ready they put some peach pink shoes on me and then they took me to the ballroom when I walked in I saw everyone dancing and cheering I couldn't help but smile then as I walked into the ballroom dance, the music stopped and everyone stopped to look at me, to be honest, it was really creepy but I just ignored it then I went downstairs and then I saw Ainsley. I waved at her and she waved at me. She wore a beautiful light pink dressed in white lace and then when I got to the bottom of the stairs my mother announced please welcome Princess Sophia from of white Hood and everyone started cheering for me. After a few moments of applause, everyone greeted me and continued what they were doing before laughing and dancing. I then walked over to Ainsley and gave her a big hug and then she hugged me back. beautiful, I smiled at her and said thank you, then I told her that she looked beautiful too, she smiled at me and then we both headed to the food section (as usual) when I was about to have a piece of cake a person touched my shoulder I turned around to see who it was and it was a prince he bowed to me and said dear princess Sophia can I have this dance? Ainsley looked at me with a smile and said yes. Not like I was about to refuse Prince Ainsley pushed me into his and said yes of course he would love to dance with you. I looked at Ainsley with eyes that could melt steel, then she laughed at me and said, go ahead! he's going to have a blast so I headed out onto the dance floor with t The prince told me his name was Christian and he was from the kingdom of Lavinia, of course, I smiled at him but deep down I just rolled my eyes. I looked at my mother with eyes that said help me. My mother just smiled and looked away. She knew that she was very happy at the moment, then we both danced for a couple of minutes until I said, oh, I must have a drink of water. This princess is very thirsty. I was about to yell at Ansley when I found her on the balcony dang it she escaped my wrath again then I went to the balcony with her and told her why the heck would she do that and then she smiled at me and said please. you never danced with a prince that's not true I've danced with prince's before huh yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you have but not in a long time I gave her a shocked face and told her I don't like to dance and you know she laughed at me and said oh Sophia. I laughed with her Then we looked at the stars together and then she asked me the strangest question Sophia, yes, will we be together forever? I looked at her and said of course Ansley, you're my best friend, I never will. she left you, we will always be together forever and nothing will come between us, not even death. I looked at her and said we're waiting come on we can't let them eat that, we ran inside laughing then we were entering and walking towards the food section, that's when we saw her, Jeimy, she was wearing an emerald green dress with black lace, we both looked at her and she smiled at us, she started walking towards us and then she said: oh hello, Sophia. how are you with an evil tone in her voice I looked at her with disgust and said hello Jeimy. Ainsley also said hello. Jeimy rolled his eyes and said thanks for the invite. I gave him a fake smile and told him I didn't invite you. My parents did it if they had a choice. She wouldn't have invited you. She laughed and I said your opinion matters. I looked at her with anger in her eyes. I was about to slap her until Ainsley stopped me and said, Sophia, it's not worth it. she towards me and then she disappeared into the crowd. I really didn't like that girl Ainsley tried to calm me down and said hey ignore her she's not important you're right then we both headed to the food section we both drank some juice and talked and laughed and danced with some princes then after a few hours, the dance was over and everyone was going home then Ainsley's carriage I arrived, I hugged her tight and said good night, she hugged me back and also said good night, then she smiled at me and said friends until the end, I also smiled at her and hugged her again and said friends until the end.
