SOPHIA POV:

I woke up one rainy morning, gosh, I went to sleep late last night. I yawned and stretched as I was about to get out of bed when someone broke into my door, I turned around to see my sister Catherine with a look of horror on her face. I asked her what was wrong with her. She looked at me with terror in her eyes and said that something terrible happened to Ainsley my heart skipped a beat. I quickly jumped out of bed and ran out of my room I didn't even bother to put my shoes on, I just ran down the hall through the throne room to the castle gates. I opened them and ran, the rain poured down on my skin, but I didn't care, I had to get to Ainsley, I ran so fast my feet started to hurt, but I didn't care. I had to keep running. I could not stop. I ran for a couple of minutes and finally reached Ainsley's Castle. I went through the door and ran through the throne room to the hallway. I stopped for a moment and realized that there was no one in the area. This is strange. I told myself. Ainsley's parents are always in the throne room. Where are they? then I heard strange noises coming from the library I ran down the hallway and made my way to the library. I saw two guards standing at the door, they were surprised to see me, they said, Princess Sophia, what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be here. I told them to step aside but they refused and told me (forgive us, my lady, but the king and queen told us not to allow anyone in the library room). I got angry and pushed them aside I opened the library door and I saw something that made my heart drop. I saw Ainsley's body laying on the cold hard ground I didn't even realize that tears were beginning to form in my eyes. I ran towards her and yelled her name at the top of my lungs. I held her tight Ainsley I said no response I said her name again no response I looked at her, her beautiful blue eyes seemed lifeless as a rock her skin was colder than ice her beautiful pink dress was stained with her blood. Her throat was silt and she was brutally stabbed in the stomach, I cried and cried for my best friend, then I looked up and saw a note next to her body. I grabbed the note and put it in the pocket of my nightgown. Then some guards grabbed me by the arms and took me out of the library I yelled telling them to let me go but they ignored me I tried to fight them but they were too strong. In the end, I had no choice but to forfeit, I was escorted outside and I saw a carriage someone opened the door and that someone was my sister she hugged me tight and said (I'm so sorry) she grabbed me by the hand and led me into the carriage. I didn't say a word until I got to the castle I ran to my room, closed the door, and cried. My best friend was gone and I was never going to see her again.

THE NEXT DAY: I woke up to the sound of knocking on my door I groaned and got out of my bed and opened the door I saw Catherine with a sweet but sad look on her face. Are you feeling alright? YES CATHERINE I FEEL GREAT MY BEST FRIEND HAS JUST DIED AND I FEEL WONDERFUL Sophia. I'm sorry, I'm so sad, I can't believe she's dead, oh Sophia Catherine hugged me tight and I hugged her back, thank you, anytime little sis but you can't stay in your nightgown all day I mean that thing smells like a wet dog. Hahahaha your right, How about you take a warm bath? alright. After a few minutes I was ready, I wore an elegant yet simple blue dress I then headed down the hall to the throne room where the castle gates were. I opened them and I made my way outside, I walked through the crowd until I arrived at Ainsley's castle. I opened the doors to see Ainsley's parents weeping for their daughter I felt so heartbroken seeing them like that I couldn't bear looking them in the eye. Then I made my way to the library and I open the door and saw one of my least favorite people, I saw Mr. Alaric, the wannabe detective of this kingdom. Mr. Alaric looked at me and said, Princess Sophia, it is a pleasure to be in your presence once again, then he took my hand and kissed it. (I choked inside.) Ah, Mr. Alaric, it's also great to see you again. I looked him up and down and then out of nowhere Ainsley's parents came out and said, Mr. Alaric, have you found out who did such a terrible thing to our daughter? Mr. Alaric turned to them and said, Your Majesty's. I've searched the entire library, but I haven't found any proof of who did this to your daughter, so I've come to one conclusion: it must have been s***ide. WHAT, have you gone mad Ainsley would NEVER DO THAT, well, your highness, that's the only logical explanation for this, there are no footprints, there are no fingerprints, and there are no witnesses, so how can we get a lead on who did this? W- WELL. ENOUGH gentlemen, could you escort Princess Sophia out of the library and back to her castle? WHAT I HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE I- (before I could finish the guards grabbed me by my arms and took me back to my home) I couldn't get close to anyone right now, so I ran to Ainsley and I's favorite spot. I went to the river and sat there for a while then I fell asleep when I woke up I realized it was night so I stood up and walked back to the castle then I opened the castle gates and crossed the throne room from the hallway to my room. Then I heard a knock on the door I stood up from my bed and walked over to the door I opened it and saw Catherine with a sad look on her face and an envelope. I asked her what that was and she looked me in the eye and said it was an invitation to Ainsley's funeral.

THREE DAYS LATER: We are gathered here today for the loss of Princess Ainsley, she was a dear daughter, a dear cousin, a dear princess, and, above all, a dear friend.

SOPHIA'S POV: I looked at Ainsley's grave and swore that day that I would find out what happened to Ainsley, and I would not rest until I do.

Later that day: After we came back from the funeral my family and I split up my sister went to her room to read as usual and my parents went to their room to talk while I went to my room to take a bath, a few minutes later I came out of the bath with a new nightgown. I put my hair in a ponytail with lace and I went to my bed to read a little as I was walking to my bed I noticed the note I saw the day Ainsley died. I told myself maybe when the maids were taking my nightgown to the washroom the note fell out of the pocket. I picked up the bloody note and I opened it, when I opened that note I was shocked at what it said (the note said happy sugar plum spring festival to Sophia of white hood from the bloody maiden) Wait a minute this whole thing was a trick to make us believe that Ainsley killed herself this wasn't s***ide this was a murder.
