Namjoon let out a small sigh when he read the message he got from Taehyung, saying he won't be able to make it to his house before leaving for the festival. It made him a bit sad, since he wanted to spend time with him but he could do nothing about it. It didn't matter anyways.
What mattered was the fact that Namjoon was supposed to meet Seokjin in half an hour, making his whole body shiver just at the thought of having to talk to him. But it should be a big deal, right? They've been texting for a very long time now, they even met a couple of times to perfect their self made song so what was the reason for his fear?
He thought he would overcome it by now but he guessed texting and speaking isn't the same thing. He was nervous as fuck.
He grabbed a pair of tight black jeans from his wardrobe with olive green windbreaker, his personal favorite, but made sure to dress something warm under it. It might have been the first week of April but it wasn't for thin clothes. He tapped his windbreaker with his palms a few times to straighten it against his body. He put on the black bucket hat and checked himself out in the wall mirror, approving his looks before grabbing his personal stuff and running out of his room.
He bumped into his mother just as he walked out and gasped. His mom chuckled and put her hand on his shoulder. "Going somewhere, young man?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I'm meeting Tae and some friends at the festival tonight. Don't worry, I won't be up late."
"It's okay as long as I know where you are. You can stay as long as you want."
"Thank you, mom." Namjoon smiled as he quickly hugged her, then placed a soft kiss on her head. "I need to run or else I'm going to be late, again."
"Don't make Taehyung mad!"
Namjoon could hear his mom shouting playfully as he rushed down the hall. He put his phone in his pocket and zipped it up before he put on his black puma sneakers. He checked the wall watch and tsked, realizing he was really going to be late. He sniffed himself a couple of times, making sure he smelled nice before closing the door behind him and making his way to his destination.

He could feel his face heating up the closer he was to the main gate. He could see five people, all of their faces way too familiar, his eyes locking onto the last person standing on the left side and laughing with Jeongguk about something.
He stopped laughing as soon as he locked his eyes with Namjoon, not hiding his surprised face expression as he eyed him up and down from head to toe.
"You're late but you look completely fabulous so I won't be mad at you." Taehyung was the first to speak, taking a step forward and hugging Namjoon. Namjoon pulled away and offered his hand to greet the rest of them. He didn't want to look at Seokjin when he offered his hand to him, staring at Taehyung as he did but the other would not budge.
"In my culture, you look into the eyes of the one you greet."
"I-I apologize."
Namjoon couldn't help. He looked at Seokjin but could feel his whole face heat up even more. The handshake was quick but very firm. He just didn't want to stand close to him. He walked over to Taehyung and Jeongguk's side, beginning the conversation with both of them. Jimin smiled widely at him, walking hand in hand with his boyfriend who looked like he just wanted to be home instead of squeezing with hundreds of people.
Namjoon hated himself for stuttering. He needed to get a hold of himself and stop acting like a twit. At least that's how he saw himself.
"Where do you want to go anyways? They have lots of places here, from restaurants to playing all kinds of games." Jeongguk spoke.
Namjoon looked around the place, seeing many lightened lanterns above them lit the whole place up as they walked.
"I'm actually fine with any." Yoongi said.
"Yoongi mostly likes to eat and sleep so I think we should start off with some place to get some good barbecue." Jimin said.
Taehyung hummed. "I agree with you because I'm starving."
Jeongguk chuckled and wrapped his arm around the shorter, bringing him closer to him. "Then it's decided. Barbecue it is."
"But where are we going to find the place? We didn't even ask Seokjin and Namjoon if they agree."
"I don't mind." Seokjin said.
"As long as everyone is happy I will go anywhere." Namjoon sighed out. "I'm not used to this stuff so don't ask me."
"Don't be like that. We are going to have great fun tonight. Do you guys drink?" Jimin questioned, giving them curious looks. Namjoon could see the way Yoongi's face lit up.
"Soju?"
"I can already feel my throat burning and I love it."
"Tae?" Jeongguk asked. "I'm not going to drink because I'm driving tonight but if anyone else wants to, go ahead. How about you?"
Taehyung shrugged. He turned around and looked at his best friend who was a step behind them, walking side to side with Seokjin but they were both facing away from each other. Seokjin was clearly texting someone and staring ahead of himself from time to time.
"How about you two?"
"I don't drink alcohol." Namjoon said.
Seokjin put his phone away inside the pocket of his thick grey hoodie and looked at Taehyung, then looked at Namjoon, opening his mouth to speak.
"You don't drink alcohol at all?"
Namjoon shook his head. "I don't like the taste."
"Well, you look like someone who doesn't. I don't know, Taehyung. I might have the same thing he has." Seokjin said.
Taehyung had to turn back around to hide his grin. He really hoped two of them could make something out of it. He wasn't very sure if he really liked him or was just confused but they indeed looked like a perfect match for each other.
"I guess I will take that as a compliment."
"Absolutely, there is nothing good about drinking soju anyways." Seokjin said, letting out a laugh when he saw the way Yoongi gave him a death stare.
"You're such a liar I swear to god. You're lucky Hoseok isn't here." Yoongi said. "Don't lie to impress Namjoon, we can see through your lies."
Namjoon cleared his throat, obviously embarrassed.
"For me, at least. But I did have times when I used to drink untill I become a corpse. So what if I'm trying to impress him?" Seokjin asked, catching Namjoon by surprise.
Yoongi shrugged. "Lying won't take you anywhere. Just kiss him. It works too."
Taehyung gasped, the others bursting into a laughing fit.
"I'm sorry about that." Seokjin apologized to Namjoon who had no courage to remove his stare from the concrete.
"It's okay."
