Drip drip

Tears raced down her cheek but that didn't stop her. Mirabel continued running without turning back.

Then it happened. She had been too exhausted to know what was going on. She only remembered once she awoke to the beaming sun on the grassy floor.

Clutching the grass blades in her palm, all she could recall from last night was the vision around her getting very dark. She had ran until her legs gave out.

Despite this, she wasn't too far from town.

After some consideration, she came up with her plan.

Mirabel, determined, walked the long path back up to Casita.

Was she feeling forgiving?

When she reached the familiar house, however, she dove behind the bushes.

"Luisa the donkeys got out again," Some townperson hollered as Mirabel jumped, surprised.

"On my way!"

Mirabel concentrated on Luisa's steps down the path until they quieted down to nothing.

Once she was sure she was alone, Mirabel snuck into Casita.
