"Are you sure you can handle my team, Lawley" JC says.

Kian eyes me, as he dribbles the ball.

He smiles. He actually has a great smile. His teeth compliment his mouth and face perfectly. It makes my face red. Makes my mind go blank.

I run to the basket, and catch the ball. I lay it up, making our score 2-14. Like, we have a chance. While Martha and Ricky are flirting, Kian and I are trying to even the score. We are down two trying to get the score up. Kian and JC are on fire with come backs. At one point they both look like they were serious, exchanging come backs like they hate each other.

"JC, stop," Katie says. "Let's just play the game." She gives him a peck on the cheek. Taylor rolls her eyes.

"What?" Katie says, responding to Taylor's snobby reaction.

"It's just, well," she says, and then stops.

"Just say it." Katie says, getting serious.

"You two just met a few hours ago." Taylor continues.

"Yeah, you're point?"

"How are you both already kissing?" she says.

Awkward silence.

"Time out" Martha says, pulling me over to the girls.

"What the hell is wrong with you two." Martha says, embarrassed.

"She started it" Katie says, smirking.

"That's it" Taylor says. She pulls her hair, smacking her upside the head. A cat fight breaks out. I grab Taylor, pulling her away. Martha doing the same thing to Katie.

"You Bitch!" "No you didn't!

The boys are frozen, trying to comprehend what just happened. I pull Taylor away, but she breaks away, tackling Katie.

"Enough." I yell, leaving them speechless. I pull Taylor over to our house.

"Thank you for dinner, I'm so sorry." I say.

"It's okay" says Connor, the only one saying something.

Martha follows me with Taylor. We both bring them in the house.

"Say you're sorry" we both say.

"No" Taylor says, "She's a slut." Katie jumps onto her, making Taylor scream.

We pull them away from each other.

"Do you realize what you just done?" Martha says. "They probably will never invite us over again! We will be the weird neighbors who beat up their roommates. And, more importantly, we are best friends? What made you say that, Taylor? And, why wouldn't you just shack off her rude comment, Katie?"

They both sit there in silence.

"I'm sorry" Taylor says.

"No, I'm sorry." Katie says.

"Oh, don't tell that to each other. Go tell it to the boys who had to witness that event." I say.

They walk out, going next door.

"Can you believe what just happened?" Martha says.

"I'm not even surprised." I say.
