The news

Jeon Jungkook was in the hospital to meet his dad who was suffering from cancer. Jungkook had seen his dad go through bad shit for the past year. His dad was the owner of the famous business company ' Jeon Coorpations'. Last day evening, his father's colleagues found Mr. Jeon lying unconscious on his office table and got him admitted in the hospital.

Jungkook was first called by the head doctor as he went to the hospital.

" Jeon jungkook?" The doctor asked to which jungkook nodded.      " I'm Kim Seokjin,the head doctor here. I wanted to tell you something. Please hear me out carefully and don't panic. "

Those words made jungkook guess that his father wasn't at his best now. He tried mentally preparing himself for hearing any shocking news.

" It seems like the medicine's doesn't have any positive effect on your dad's health. So I see no need in continuing this medication.",  seokjin said.

" Will he be alright if we stop the medication? " , Jungkook asked in a concerned tone.

"That's the whole point of why i said you not to panic. I don't wanna give you and your family any false hopes." , Jin said with a sigh.

"...."

Jungkook was shocked beyond words. He knew his father will have to go through a lot. But this seemed so quick and he couldn't comprehend the fact that he is slowly losing his father.

" H-how long c-can you keep him a-alive" Jungkook asked trying not to cry.

"Well, I can't give you any specific time. But if this continues , he won't live over an year." , the doctor said in a plain tone.  He has seen many patients come to him in a near to death stage . He has dealt with many patients relatives as well. So he didn't have much emotions to show to Jungkook .

"Can I meet him now? " , Jungkook asked with a sad expression.

"Yeah. But make sure not to talk about any saddening events as of now." Jin said to which the young boy nodded.

          Silence engulfed him as he entered the room where his father was lying in the hospital bed. Eventhough his father was suffering badly for the past one year, he had never seen his father  weaker than how he looked now.

The room was painted in a faint blue shade and there was a huge window with long white curtains. His father was lying in a huge bed with some bedsheets matching the rooms paint. His body was connected with multiple wires and he could hear some beep sounds from the machines from which the wires originated.

He went towards the bed and pulled a chair close to it and sat there. His presence didn't go unnoticed by his dad. He slowly opened his eyes and gave Jungkook a faint smile.

"How are you son?" , his dad asked in quite a weak tone.

"What an irony. I came to visit you dad. That question should be asked by me." , Jungkook said with a fake smile .

" Son... I know that you know I won't last long. You don't have to fake anything in front of me my dear. I knew this was coming my way." , Mr. Jeon said.

"Dad please don't say such things . I can't without you. The company needs you too. I'll get you treated and will make sure you don't suffer like this. So never say that you will die again .", Jungkook replied suddenly with a lot of emotions.

"Oh my son. I'm lucky to have you but you can't get anything with money. So you can't treat me . This is one of the best hospital out there . Just let me be. But you are still so young and you will surely have to run our company after my death. There is no running away for it. I know you will do better than me . But I can't leave you alone in this world and die peacefully. So I had discussed about marrying you off -", his dad was speaking but Jungkook cut his off.

"B-but dad...I'm too young for all of this responsibilities and also I c-can't marry the woman you say. B-because I.... I am g-"

"I know son. What kind of a father can I be to not accept my son's sexuality . I had your marriage fixed with my friends son and he is the Ceo of their company.  I'm sorry I didn't discuss this with you before. I know him and I'm sure he ll treat you like well and he will also be a help for you in your job." , Jungkook's dad said.

"Dad, you don't have to think of anything else than your health now. So please take good care of yourself now . We can discuss about my marriage later."

"No my son. You mom had already visited me and she should have talked to the doctor by now about me being discharged by tomorrow afternoon. "

"Dad.... why tomorrow..?"

"I know this is a short notice but your mom talked to your future husband's family and you will be getting married tomorrow night."

"WHAT?" Jungkook questioned his whole existence by hearing his dad.

"Yes son, I'm ok now its just my wish to see you married. "

" but dad-"

"No buts. Please do this for your dying father. You can have today for yourself.  Don't worry about me . You call over your friends and have fun. And also inform them to join for your wedding. " , his father looked very enthusiastic when he spoke about Jungkook wedding despite all his illness.

" And remember . As it is a event planned so soon. Make sure to call only your close friends over to xxx venue."

" o-ok d-dad", Jungkook said without any expression because he couldn't image marrying a total stranger within a day and he couldn't disappoint his dad.
