you and your older sister always loved to pick fun at this guy in her class, you never understood why she did it, but you did it too, your reasoning? he was cute, and you can't handle being around cute people, so you make fun of him instead
you and nayeon were inseparable since you were born, you were each other's best friends, always defending each other
when the zombies happened, nayeon was crying, you weren't in the room with them and she was worried you were gone, onjo told her you were probably alright, maybe even out of the school already, but that didn't calm her nerves until she saw you in the broadcasting room with ms park
you hugged each other with tears falling, separating hesitantly
but the peace didn't last for long z as a zombie got stuck in the rope they used
but when nayeon points out something on gyeongsu's hand, you knew this was going to end badly
he assures her it was just a scratch from the computer, but she was hellbent on saying he was bitten

"i don't... I don't really know" you mouthed, she glared at you for a second, before going back yo yelling at the others
after everything gyeongsu stays in the recording room, until cheongsan tries to get him to leave, you watched them from across the room and smiled softly
but then they tell nayeon to go into the room, you felt a bad feeling in your stomach, maybe you needed the toilet, or maybe this just felt wrong
when nayeon entered everyone (except namra" went to watch them through the mirror
when suhyeok said they look like they're going to kiss, you frowned, your sister definitely did not like him that way...or did she?
then she wiped his hand with her handkerchief but then a second later she came out of the room with gyeongsu trailing after her, yelling at her
then his nose started bleeding shortly after
you felt like you couldn't speak, nayeon was beside you now, smirking at the others, arm interlocked with yours
gyeongsu slowly turned into a zombie, tears fell from your eyes, you wished you could do something but you just stood there like a idiot
then gyeongsu jumped out of the window (thanks ig, cheongsan)
nayeon started bragging that she was right while you stayed quiet, just nodding your head to what she says
but then namra says something that shocks you
that nayeon killed gyeongsu
so the two start fighting, even namra slapping nayeon, you slowly moved away from nayeon with betrayal heavy in your eyes
nayeon looked at you sadly when you backed away
"aren't you gonna defend me?" she said "we always do this for each other, why is it different now?!" she sniffled
"nayeonie...you...you killed someone! how am i supposed to defend that?!' you shouted at her
"you hated him too!"
"not enough to murder him! how could you do that to him?! what's wrong with you!? nayeon..." nayeon started to cry
"i don't have any friends...i only have you, it's always only ever been you, fuck this, i don't need you anymore, I don't need any of you" she got up, running out the door
your eyes widen, you tried to run after her but was held back by wujin
"nayeon!" you yelled, sobbing, you didn't catch what ms park said before she ran out too
wujin slid down to the floor with you, trying to comfort you in a hug as sobs racked your body
the pain of losing your crush and sister was hitting, the others looking at you in pity
would it be different if you told gyeongsu how you felt? maybe nayeon wouldn't have picked on him as much, nayeon would never hurt someone you loved, right?
