Anne Maria huffed crossing her arms as she beat her wings. "Where are they-!" She exclaimed.
Looking over she glanced to the blonde female, huffing and stomping out embers which lingered on the grass from her tyrant.
Jo looked up as teeth clenched. Her pupils were barely visible. The air around her was warped.
That atmosphere dropped once she locked eyes with Anne Maria. She panted, standing up straight.
"Brick's gotta be alive. But where is he-!?. I swear if he dies on us and leaves us here-!" Her voice growled as strands of her hair burst into bluish purple flame.
"I'm upset too! We all are but if you keep acting like this you will end up hurting either us or yourself!" Anne Maria barked out.
Once again acknowledging her own anger she cooled down slightly. "I'm sorry." Jo muttered.
"Don't be sorry. Its overwhelming, all of this. But we can't promise Brick will be okay and we have to accept that."
Jo twitched at her words. The grass seemed to die at her feet.
"I'm trying!" She yelled back.
"I know you are."
"He can't just leave us! Leave me!" Jo's voice snarled as tears sizzled from the heat of her skin.
"Jo! Brick is a soldier. If he wants to die with the honor of defending his friends then so damn well be it!" Anne Maria yelled, tears staining her own discolored skin.
Jo froze.
"I don't want him to be dead more than any of us but if he is I know that it will have it on his own goddamn terms!" She expressed, her wings beating angrily.
"If you don't get your act together, and he dies, believing that you were weaker than him; he would regret every moment he spent not protectin' you!" Anne Maria stressed.
The sun was starting to rise high again.
"Come on. We need to get back. I think Lightning's already up; Cameron's off doing who knows what. So you get some rest, I'll go find shortstuff." Anne Maria pat Jo's hoodie shoulder assuringly.
Jo huffed defeatedly."If Chris doesn't find him by tommorrow, I'm going there and finding him myself."
"Hush. Go to bed." Anne Maria joked, pushing Jo cautiously down onto a stray mattress area.
"Good luck finding String-bean."
Anne maria nodded. And she dashed out to; Mt. Looming Tragedy.
Surprised to witness how tall she really was she glanced upwards. She could see better up there. With two major jumps she almost stumbled at the top.
Anne Maria stood up straight, her wings outspread as they beat in the ocean wind, listening to the hardy waves crashing against the cliff.
She took in a breath. Her expression softebed as she curled further in on herself dejectedly. Her looks were off putting. Her ex would have said it gave her power of intimidation.
Stop. Anne Maria grit her teeth and muttered, "We need to care for ourselves first."
