Chapter 5

(Shu POV)

'Where is y/n?!' I thought. And I started to look for her, worry coming all over my body.

"Y/n!! Y/n!!" 'Where can she be?!' I thought.

Then a pair of hands came and covered my eyes. "Tell me who it is." The bubbly voice said, happily. But I was so relieved that I quickly turned around and hugged her tightly. So tightly that I'm sure she'll suffocate. Without noticing, tears started to fall.

"What's wro-- Wait! Why're you crying?" She said. But I didn't answer. Then she wiped my tears and said, "You don't have to cry. It's going to be alright." She didn't realize that I was crying because I was worried about her. "Don't do that again." She looked at me confused. "Don't disappear like that again. It made me really worried." I said. She looked at me softly and hugged me back. "Alright. I won't." She said cheerfully. Her cheerfulness makes me less worried.

(Y/n POV)

'No one's ever been worried about me. I know I shouldn't, but for some reason it makes me happy.' I thought.

After a while he let me go. "Sorry for that." He said, embarrassed. "No problem! Now let's go back. It's getting late." I said pulling him. After a while we reached back home. "Why don't you go and get changed." He nodded and went.

 I started to make dinner. 'What should I make? What should I make? I have rice and an egg, now what should I make? Rice and egg or egg rice. Hmmm' I thought, tapping my chin.

"What.. are you doing?" Shu asked me from behind. "Thinking." I replied. "What?" He asked. "That whether I should make rice and egg or egg rice." I said. He stopped for few moments and then started to laugh. I looked at him. He stopped laughing and said with a smirk, "Well aren't they both basically the same thing." He said, holding in his laughter. "No they're not! One starts with the name rice and the other starts with the name egg. See! There's a big difference right there!" I said with a pout.

"Ok. Ok. You're right. There is a biiig difference." He said, playfully. "You're not taking me seriously! Hmph!" I said and turned away my head. He laughed and patted my head. "How about I make dinner as an apology?" He asked me. I looked at him with wide eyes and said, "No! Absolutely not! Out of the question! Go and sit on the table. I'll go and make dinner." I said and pushed him to the chair. He almost fell to the ground. He quickly held my hand to not fall down. When his balance came back, his face was right in front of mine. I didn't notice him blushing. He pulled his face away from me and looked the other way. I looked at him confused. I was about to ask him but he beat me to it, "Sh-shouldn't you go and make dinner? Um uh i-its getting late." He said. I shrugged and went to make dinner.

(Shu POV)

'I don't get it. Why am I blushing? Why am I feeling embarrassed?' I thought. 'I remember in a story book the character always blushed when he was near his lover. Am I in love with her? No. It couldn't be. I just met her today. But then again I did cry when they told me about her past. I think I just have a crush on her.' I was so deep in thought that I didn't notice y/n, waving her hands in front of me. "WAKE UP!!" She screamed in front of my ears. It was loud enough to break my thoughts. I looked at her. "Your food will get cold." She said and started to eat. I also started to eat.

"Where are you gonna sleep from now on?" She asked me after we both finished eating. I looked at her. "You can stay in my room upstairs. Then we can also become room partners." She said, starting to jump. At that my face heated. "No. I can't. I'll sleep in the room where I woke up." I said. "You mean the room closer to the shop?" "Yes." "But why?" She asked tilting her head to the side. 'Cute' I thought. 'Wait! What did I think just now?' I thought. "So.... So... So that I can make sure.. um uh no thieves break in?" I said, more like asked. "Oh. Ok then. Whatever makes you comfortable. What about the days to come?" She said. "I'll sleep there." "Then I'll bring out the extra mattress." She said and sprinted away. Then she came back with a mattress and put it down. "I'll be going then. Good night, Shu!" She said, waving her hands. I also bade her good night. Then I went and lay down on the mattress.

'So many things happened today.' I started to think. 'First I ran away from the palace. Then I met y/n and learned about her past. She bought me clothes, let me stay in her house. Seriously! She's too naive and nice. What if I had ulterior motives? What if I wasn't a good person? Seriously! But I didn't even realize up until now people like her existed. I always thought that people are selfish and only see what profits them. Never think of others and will not help others without any profit. But she looks so self-less. And she even helped me, without asking for any money. And is letting me stay. She didn't even drown me in questions. She has a personality I never thought existed. Guess that's why I'm so drawn to her. Her personality.' And with that thought I fell asleep.
