Chapter 12

(Shu POV)

It's been two days since that incident. And today's my marriage with Princess Lillian. I had no other choice but to agree to this forced marriage. "Y/n, forgive me for this. This is the only way I can protect you." I whispered as a teardrop fell from my eye. "You shouldn't be talking about other girls, on your wedding day, Shu." A voice said. I turned and saw princess Lillian.

She was wearing her wedding dress. She came closer to me and fixed my tie. "I'd rather if you not touch me." I said and slapped her hand away. "Aww. Still thinking about a nobody? Don't worry after we get married, you wouldn't even remember about that little pest. I mean how could you even live in a commoners house? Eww!" She said, clearly disgusted. 'I heard that she was a spoiled princess. And now I'm seeing the proof.' I thought. "I don't care about this forced marriage at all. So don't expect me to look forward to it or be excited about it. As long as I'm alive, my heart will belong to only one girl and her alone. No one and I mean absolutely no one can steal her place." I said, irritated and left.

Right now I'm standing in front of the priest who's asking his questions. Now it was my turn. The priest said to me, "And do you, prince Shu Kurenai of k/n, pledge to marry princess Lillian Hiki of n/k/n, without any greed and give her your undying love?"

I just stood there unable to say anything. "Well?" The priest asked. "I- I - I----" I started but couldn't say anything. But then a miracle happened. Some people broke the Windows and entered with their swords. They were soldiers and it looked like two people were leading them. "Stop this wedding now!" One of the leaders said as the soldiers were fighting the guards. 'Why are they fighting each other aren't the both sides castle guards?' I thought.

Then I saw my step-father's petrified look. "It- it can't be. How?!! You're supposed to be dead!!" He said. "Unfortunately for you I'm still alive, Theodore." The man said. "But I killed you with my own hands!!" Theodore said. "Yes, and Mihato saved me." He said pointing to the other leader looking guy.

"Aghh!! Doesn't matter. I'll kill you for sure today, Shin Kurenai!!" Theodore screamed and pulled out his sword and their swords clashed. Meanwhile Mihato was fighting with Norman.

'Father?!!' I thought with widen eyes. If only I had my sword now, I would've helped out.

After a long while the battle ended. Both Theodore and Norman were sitting on their knees. "Shu!!" Father said and ran towards me. Then he hugged me as I hugged him back. 'He is my father, a father who I thought was dead. Just like my mom.' I thought, crying a little. After a while he broke the hug and I wiped my tears. Then I remembered something really important and asked him to give me his sword. He gave me his sword. 

I pointed it in front of Theodore's throat. "Release her. Now!!" I ordered him. "Wh-who?" He pretended to not know. I put it right at his throat and said, "Don't play dumb with me! You know who I'm talking about!" I screamed gaining everyone's attention. "Ab-about her... she isn't here." He whispered. "What?!!!" I dropped my sword and pulled him by the collar.

"Tell me where she is!!" "I sold her to a group of pirates." "You sold y/n!!" "What?!!" Surprisingly Mihato was the one who screamed. He came where we were angrily, pushed me aside and pulled Theodore by his collar with one hand. "You jerk did what with y/n?!!" He screamed angrily. "Sold her. But why're you getting so worked about it? She's just a random peasant who's also an orphan." Theodore said. "Because she's my daughter!! For God's sake!" Mihato exclaimed. 

"You're her father?" I asked shocked. He nodded yes. "Now tell me where can I find her?" "I don't know." "Do you want me to kill you?" Mihato said, holding his collar even tightly. To which Theodore gasped to. "I... only... that... they've.... sailed... into.... the sea..." Theodore said still gasping. Mihato losened his hold and asked, "What's this pirates name?" "It's... Alex..." Theodore said, breathing heavily.

Mihato let go of Theodore and started to go. "Where are you going, Mihato?" Father asked. "To save my daughter." He replied. "I'm coming too." I said. To which they both looked surprised. "Mihato, I know you're worried about your daughter." Father started, "But we don't know where they are right now. We don't even have a plan. If we go unprepared someone might get killed. Your daughter could get killed."

Mihato nodded. He couldn't keep himself from going but father was right. We need a plan before going to save her.

'Y/n I promise, I'll save you. Now that I've got the chance I'll hold you and never let go of you again.'
