CW/TW(?): Horror(?), repeated words, blood
7PM. It has been a normal day of procrastinating on homework and laying in bed doing nothing for Ranboo. He always felt so unproductive on these days, but to be fair he was doing absolutely nothing.
Ranboo sighed as he pulled up self upright onto his bed. He thought he should at least go outside today considering he didn't do much of that; so he hopped out of bed, grabbed his phone, earbuds, and walked downstairs and through his front door.
An hour or so had passed since 7PM and Ranboo was mindlessly wandering the world, where ever the wind took him, of course, until his playlist came to a stop; he finally came back to reality and looked around. There were trees to the left of him that were protected by a rusty metal fence, the leafs were a very muted green; the valley of grass beside the sidewalk was the same color. Ranboo swiftly pulled his phone out his pocket and checked the time. "9pm? I've been out here for a while." Ranboo told himself, panning his head up, taking in the scenery around him.
Surprisingly, in the most likely dead field of grass there was two boxes. Ranboo wondered why a box out of anything would be there; this place is clearly abandoned, isn't it? He shrugged off the thought and cautiously stepped towards it. The boxes looked fairly new, no scratches, no dents, just a plain cardboard box. Ranboo crouched in front of the box, curious of what's inside, he opened the flaps covering the top that were sealed with a sliver of tape. In the opening, it revealed several cassette tapes that were inside the box. Holy shit. The tall brunette thought and he turned his head from left and right to make sure nobody saw him open the box. Thankfully, nobody was there to witness him and so, he snatched the box and ran his way home.
After a long two-hour walk, Ranboo officially arrived at his doorstep. He yanked the door open and tramped into the house, shutting the door behind him. "God.. that was.. long." He huffed. Holding a box of cassette tapes for two straight hours can get really tiring, huh. He cleared his throat and trudged up the stairs and into his room, dropping the box on his bed.
Ranboo sat down in front of his bed, slouching, and took his phone from his pocket. He tapped "contacts" and swiped to Aimsey's contact, tapping "call" button a moment after. While putting the call on speaker and listening to the ringback tone, Ranboo opened the box, pulling out every cassette tape inside of it. While taking out the tapes from the box, Ranboo heard a "Hello?" from his phone. "Aimsey! Heyyy!" He exclaimed, his hands exploring the box. Damn, this thing has a lot of tapes.
"Hey, Homeslice!" Exclaimed Aimsey. "What's up?"
"Alright sooo, I was on a walk, then I somehow ended up in this weird, and probably abandoned park, right? In the park there was this box of cassette tapes and there's a lot of tapes inside, and— oh!" Ranboo paused, seeing a cassette player at the bottom of the box. "There's a player!"
"There's a player?! That's so cool- but- that's weird. Why would a box of cassettes just be in a abandoned field. Not to mention a VHS player." Aimsey inquired.
"Yeah.. yeah that is kinda weird but it'd be fun to try and play these bad boys!" Said Ranboo, straining his voice due to pulling the heavy machine out the box. "You should come over and teach me how to use it."
"Wai- you don't know how to use a cassette tape?" Aimsey chuckled.
"No? You do? Nobody uses them anymore!"
"I'll be at your house in 5 and I'll teach you how to use it, cya!"
The call ends, Ranboo smiled amusingly at his phone after the call. He then shut off his phone and made his way down the stairs, he sat down on one of the steps as he waited for his door to be knocked on by Aimsey.
