I was browsing my phone when I noticed Lisa's recent IG post. She's smiling sweetly to herself. 

I guess the one who took that picture is her new conquest. That monkey is such a player.

I liked her post, and then after a few seconds my phone rang and displayed her name. Damn, it's listening time again.

"Hey Nini." Lisa said excitedly.

"What's up?" I asked.

"You've seen my post." She said the obvious.

"Yah, you look happy." I replied not interested.

"Yeah, Uhm, Nini. I have to tell you something." She said that suddenly made me nervous. "I guess it's different this time, Nini." She said.

"What do you mean, different?" I asked now, attentively.

"I feel different when I'm with this girl. It's like there are thousands of butterflies in my stomach when I see her smile. It's the first time that I felt it, Nini. I think I'm in love." She said that suddenly made me freeze.

"Are you sure about that?" I asked.

"Yes Nini, I'm really serious now." She said

"Wow, finally the great Lalisa Manoban is in love." I said with a chuckle, but why are my eyes suddenly full of tears? I wiped it immediately and tried to speak without a cracking voice. "I'm happy for you, Lili," I said.

"Thank you. You're the first person I told it to because you are my best friend, Nini. " She said that made me want to cry more.

"Damn you, o-of course, I'm your best friend." I said while suppressing my tears. "Who is she, by the way?" I asked.

"Niki, she's a junior." Lisa said that made my eyes widen. "We've hang out a few times already."

"So, when are you going to confess?" I asked.

"Tomorrow, Please wish me luck, Nini. " She said, chuckling.

"S-sure, good luck Lili." I said.

"Thanks Nini. I'll give you the news tomorrow. I have to go. Uhm Niki. She's calling me now. Bye. Love you always."

"Goodbye. I lo-" I said, and she hung up without me saying the L word.

That night I didn't get a single wink of sleep. I cried the whole night, wishing that it was me she was going to be with rather than that girl.

The next day,

"Yah Jendeukie. Why do you look like that? You look like a mess. You're spacing out the whole day as well." Jisoo said worriedly.

"What happened, Jen?" Rosé asked worriedly as well, but I only shook my head.

"I studied last night." I said without looking at them.

"Studied? What subject? Tell me, I'm all ears. I guess it's the Lalisa lesson again, am I right? Is it one of her conquests again? What did she tell you last night to break your heart again?" Jisoo spoke without pausing.

"That's savage, Chu." Rosé said and nudged Jisoo.

"I'm just stating facts." Jisoo said with furrowed brows.

"S-she said that she's in love this time." I said that widened their eyes.

"Oh." Then both of their mouth hang open.

"Jen,"-" Rosé is about to speak, but Lisa suddenly comes with a huge smile on her face and immediately hugs me that surprised me.

"NINI! You are really my lucky charm. " Lisa said and removed her hug.

"W-what happened?" I asked.

"You surprised us, monkey!" Jisoo said, and smacked her head.

"Ouch!" Lisa said, pouting.

"Hey, tell me. What happened? " I asked again.

"Wait." Lisa said, and suddenly looked behind her. "BABE! Come here." She said excitedly, and a certain brunette walked towards us. I hate to say this, but this girl is really pretty. I tried to give my best smile to her when she approached us.

I guess this is the moment that I fear the most.

"Niki, this is Nini, my best friend." Lisa introduced me proudly. "While this is Jisoo and Rosé, my closest friends as well."

"Hello." Niki said and smile sweetly at us.

"Nini, Chu, and Rosie." This is my girlfriend, Niki." Lisa said and smiles sweetly at Niki.

Our two friends are surprised while I can't take my eyes from Lisa.

I watch my best friend's face, and I can finally see in her eyes that she's truly happy. It's the first time that I've seen her this way. I guess she's really in love.

I suddenly hugged Niki, which surprised everyone, then I whispered in her ear. "Please take care of her. She's a hard-headed person, but she has the softest heart." And Niki slowly nodded her head, which made me smile.

"What did you say to her, Nini?" Lisa asked, dumbfounded.

"It's our secret." I said and winked at her girlfriend. Then I smiled sweetly at them, but deep inside, my heart was breaking into a million pieces.

"I have to go. Congrats again, Lili." I
said.

I wish I could stay with you more, but I can't torment myself anymore. I can't keep watching you while you watching her.
