Veer came running, terrified to Rani's room
She covered her knees with the duvet.
"Rani nahi Riva...Aur hum yahan kaise aaye...yeh duvet toh aapke upar odha tha kal raat...yeh hamare paas kaise aaya"

Veer:Offfff....bas itni se baat...dara diya tha aapne mujhe.

Rani: Aap ek parayi ladki ke ghar pe the poori raat...aur hum ghode bech kar so gaye...subah uthte hain toh kuch samajh nahi aata...yeh sab aapko itni si baat lagti hai... kaheen aapne humare saath....

Veer: Aap galat soch rahi hain...jo aapki itni parwah karta hai...itni izzat karta hai...woh aapke saath kuchh galat kaise kar sakta hai

Rani: Par yeh duvet

Veer: Chinta mat kijiye...jab meri neend khuli toh dekha ki aap thand mein so gayi thi...toh aapko bed par shift kar diya aur duvet odh diya
.... actually mein apne ghar janewala tha

Rani: Kal ke liye sorry...hume aapse aise baat nahi karni chahiye thi Dr Veer
Veer: Even I am sorry...meri baaton ne aapko majboor kiya... phir bhi aapko meri itni parwah thi
He smirked
Rani: Woh hum koi bhi hota toh aisa hi karte... insaaniyat ke naate

This insaaniyat word killed Veer to the core...but he didn't let it appear on his face. Instead, he smirked and abruptly came near Rani...Her heartbeat flinched...she stammered...

Veer: Kya aap aise hi kisi aadmi ko apne ghar mein jagah de deti
She didn't want to bow down to his advances...but...

Veer gave a hysterical laugh

Again he turned...she was sitting on the bed with knees covered.

She was about to get up but his smirk made her feel shy

He shook his head smiling at her then went outside...Rani quickly tiptoed to her drawing room and once ensuring he was gone she clutched her clothes and blushed hard

"Tu kyon itna sharma rahi hai Rani...inko dimag se nikal"

But she can't let go of his charming smile...his messy hairs... and his flirtatious glance...but what she was enamored with was the line of respect he had for her

She went to the kitchen to find the can of milk
" Hum toh abhi uthe...toh yeh koun rakha....

Matarani iska matlab inhone....

Kya soch rahe honge doodh waale bhaiya"

The day was going on as usual when someone knocked on her door

"Aapne ek baar bhi apne best friend ko miss nahi kiya...."

She looked up....it was Vikram
