One who fakes a smile

When you woke up, your body was tangled with Aarons, you head in the crook of his shoulder, his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him. You enjoyed the close comforts, you didn't stir much because you didn't want to wake him and ruin the moment.

Something so simple, so domestic shouldn't have brought you this much peace and tranquillity. Your synchronised breathing, it was something so wrong, something that will possibly not allow you to look in the eyes of him again, knowing that he'll go home to his wife and probably repeat last night's activities with her.

You let out a deep sigh at the thought, you know he's not yours, why are you sad?

The other thing is that, how can you go back and look at Ryan in the eyes again. He may not be a profiler but he knows the signs, and everyone knows the signs.

You shifted more to get comfortable, trying not to wake him, but you wanted to be next to him.

But soon enough his phone was ringing, waking you both fully up.

Aaron was up the entire time, he knew you were awake, and just acted like he was asleep. Because you felt amazing in his arms and he loved - liked - having you there. It was definitely something he could get used to.

"Hello." His voice rasped, "Right... I'll bring my team." He spoke, hanging up the phone and shooting out of bed, leaving you to fall into the pillows.

"Another body?" You asked

"Yes, this time it's a mom of 4, who was a stay at home mom." Hotch spoke, ditching his plaid bottoms with his suit bottoms.

You sighed, and got out of bed, switching from your messy pyjamas to a pair of black slacks and a low cut blue top, as well as some boots. Hitching your gun to your belt you were out of the door.

"We still need to talk." Aaron huffed, texting as he walked along.

"I know, but right now, there's an unsub that needs our attention." You pointed out. Maybe this will go on long enough that you would not need the talk, maybe you'll pass away first.

You sat on the table of the conference room, sipping on coffee. Examining the board. How does he go from high-risk victims, to a low risk victim all within a couple of hours. What changed for him.

"Maybe his mom turned it around, had another kid with a wealthy man, became a stay at home mom?" You said, "Found out and triggered him, went from killing people who reminded of the mom he knew to killing women who his mom is now."

"It makes sense." Emily shrugged, sitting a few seats back, "But what was the trigger?"

"Staying here?" Hotch spoke, "Maybe he wanted to get out, but was constantly reminded of everything."

"Aaron." Sammy whined, "Come on, you're staying here? In Virginia?" He scoffed.

"Yeah. I don't think it's fair to move Haley around? What about you and Diane, is she not going to get annoyed by you joining the army?" Aaron refuted.

"No, she said that she'll get the freedom of a single girl, but not actually be single, because we got married." Samuel smiled, proudly showing off the silver ring.

"You what?" Aaron gasped.

The inseparables were 18 going on 19 getting ready to go to college. Aaron decided that a law degree in Virginia would get him to the places he wanted to go. Whereas Samuel wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father joining the army and rising the ranks.
