It was dark by the time you got to Hankel's house, lights all the way, the police taking the lead into the drive. You looked around, solitude, dirt, barn, house. Everyone rushed out of the cars, with the gun out,

The detective took the lead, ordering a couple of cops to get Hotch and Gideon to go through the house, while you, Morgan, and Prentiss went to search the barn.

You pulled out your gun and your flashlight, let up a light jog to get everything done fast. The detective opened the barn door, Morgan took the lead, then Prentiss, you last covering the left side. Before you could finish the search, you had a light in your face.

"F. B. I.!" The voice shouted, you moved your own flashlight to discover who it was. Your shoulders relaxed when you saw JJ,

"Jj!" Emily spoke, getting her to snap out of it.

"Don't move!" JJ screamed in shock

"Jj, it's Morgan, Prentiss, and y/l/n" Morgan spoke

Don't shoot." She spoke with less emphasis. Prentiss holstered her gun and walked up to JJ

"It's ok." Emily soothed, "Are you hurt?" She asked, JJ looked up to her, and relaxed her gun.

"Tobias Hankel is the unsub." She spoke softly.

"Yeah, we know." Prentiss whispered.

"I'm calling an ambulance." Morgan spoke, leaving the barn.

"We just thought he was a witness." JJ spoke, still her voice shaking and her body in shock "I had to kill them." she continued, looking around at the dead dogs.

"Jj, where's reid?" You asked, walking up to her.

"They just completely tore her apart. There's nothing even left-" She rambled on.

"- JJ, look at me." Emily interrupted "Look at me. Where's reid?"

"We split up. He said he was going to go in the back." JJ explained, you looked over to Prentiss and nodded, giving her a silent sentence that you were going to go around back.

You quickly ran out of the barn and pulled your gun out of your holster. You headed towards the cornfield, shouting his name once in a while. One thing that you've found creepy was cornfields, how tall they'd grow, and how easy it was to get lost.

You kept around the edges looking for any signs of corn that had been damaged and trampled on. The moon and your flashlight was your only source of light, all your other senses got kicked into high gear. Hearing every little sound that went on around you, the smell of the dry ground.

It wasn't till you saw a bunch of corn that had been damaged, and obvious signs that someone got dragged, it can't be Reid that was kidnapped. Can it? It's not possible. You knelt down looking around, trying to find anything that could say that Reid was alright.

You sighed, nothing.

You quickly walked back to the house, You saw Emily talking to the detective and JJ being checked out on the back of the ambulance. You pulled Emily to the side, not wanting JJ to hear.

"Em, Reid followed him into the cornfield, and someone got dragged." You stated, Emily slumped her shoulders.

"Yeah. You sure?" The detective spoke, gaining our attention "We're on our way now."

"Hey, what's going on?" Emily asked, walking towards him.

"The sheriff 2 towns over. He just gave directions to a man who fit Hankel's description. It's to a motor lodge in Fort bend." He explained getting into the police car.
