A Leaf in the Wind Part 3

"It's all up to Mako now!"
Mako ducks under a water blast, avoiding three fire blasts, and evading two earth discs.
"He's bobbing and weaving! He's weaving and bobbing!"
Mako stands at the rim of zone three.
"But he's not hitting back!"
Mako pants in a fighting stance while [Name] pulls at her hair in suspense.

"If Mako's knocked out, the Ferrets' fabulous season is over!"
Mako avoids multiple fire blasts, earth discs, and water bullets.
"He is dancing on the edge of the ring, surviving the three on one barrage! It seems he plans to let the Tigrillos punch themselves out!"
Mako punches a fire blast. His blast vaporizes a water bullet and makes contact with the waterbender Tigerdillo, knocking him off the playing field.
"And his plan is working! Han is in the pool! "
Mako shoots multiple fire blasts and kicks.
"They've got nothing left in the tank and Mako is on the offensive."
Mako defends and attacks with fire.
"It's two on one!"
A Tigerdillo firebender is knocked back by a fire blast against the back pole of the ropes and falls in the water.
"Scratch that, it's one on one, and it's an earth and fire slugfest! There's so much smoke and dust from the firefight, I can't even see where the Fire Ferret is!"
Mako and the earthbender keep attacking each other. Mako's fire blast destroys the earth discs in full flight, covering the field in dust. He shoots a powerful fire arc in the dust cloud. The Tigerdillo is knocked back into his zone three. The earthbender raises a disc in front of him with a concentrated look, his eyes open wide.

Mako then emerges from the smoke, a fireball ready in his right fist. He uses the momentum of his descent to increase the power of his blast and knocks the Tigerdillo off the playing field. The earthbender plunges into the moat and the bell is struck.
"It's a knockout! What a wing-dinger of a hat trick, folks!" The scoreboard lights up, showing that the Fire Ferrets won with a knockout. "Mako pulls off the upset of the season, winning the match for the Fire Ferrets!"
Mako takes off his helmet while the crowd goes wild. [Name] looks at the playing field in awe and smiles broadly.
~In the locker room~
"Woohoo! Yes!" Bolin holds one finger up, excited. "One more win and we're in the championship tournament!" He snaps his fingers and takes off his helmet casually. "
"So, what'd ya think, [Name]? Bolin and Mako got some moves, huh?" Asks Asami.
[Name] hugs Asami with much enthusiasm, "What did I think? What did I think? That was amazing!"
Mako and Hasook soon walk up toward the locker room.
"You did more harm than good out there. You almost cost us the match!," Mako accusingly calls Hasook out.
Hasook takes off his helmet, annoyed. "We won, didn't we?"
"Barely!"
"Get off my case, pal!" Mako and Bolin watch Hasook throw his helmet aside. "Ugh!" He slams the door exiting.
"Useless," Mako grumbles.
"You guys were incredible out there!" An impressed [Name] turns to Mako. "Especially you, Mr. Hat Trick!"
[Name]'s excited expression turns slightly sad at Mako's distant attitude.
Mako coldly, "Oh, you're still here?"
"Oh, you're still a jerk?"
"Ooh!" Both Bolin and Asami chuckle at [Name]'s response.
"Anyway," [Name] excitedly turns to Bolin and Asami. "I've been immersed in bending my entire life, but I never learned how to move like that! It's like there's a whole new style here!" She crosses her arms. " Think you could show me a few tricks?"
"Well, I'm not a bender myself but I could show you some hand-to-hand combat moves of my own," Asami places a hand on her hip and gives [Name] a pearly white smile.
"Ab-so-lutely!" Bolin responds in glee.
"Right now? Come on you two." Mako unties his protective gear in annoyance.
Asami puts her hand beside her mouth and speaks in a soft tone to [Name]. "Just ignore him."
"I could show you the basics [Name]." Bolin puts his left hand to his chin. "I'm just not sure how my earthbending would translate to your waterbending, but we'll figure it out."
"Won't be a problem," [Name] slyly crosses arms and smugly replies, "I'm an earthbender."
Awkwardly, Bolin eyes [Name] in confusion. "I'm sorry, no, no! I didn't mean to assume. 'Cause I, you know, I was just figuring ... with your Water Tribe getup ... that you are ... a Water Tribe ... gal."
[Name] casually and smugly, "Nope, you're right. I'm a waterbender. And a firebender."
Bolin holds a hand to his chin, " Mm. Mm-hmm. I'm very confused right now."
Asami's eyes widen and her mouth forms an 'o' shape upon realization, "You're the Avatar!"
"And I'm an idiot," Mako bows his head and closes his eyes in shame.
"Both are true," [Name] slightly mocks Mako.
Bolin's eyes widened in shock, "No ... way," He turned to Mako, shielding his face from [Name] with his hand while pointing at her, whispering. "The Avatar!"
