The Excalibur wasn't actually broken into pieces, except the biblical god of dxd knew that if Excalibur was broken would mean chaos would wage on earth since the Excalibur was created by the God of Balance(one of my oc) so he made Excalibur a sacred gear that is only earned to those worthy people.
