Saturday 6:00 pm-
*sniffles* what's that...
"Kenma did you hear that?" I ask my best friend
"Did I heard what kuro" Kenma asks and I sigh.
"Sounds like someone crying" I say and Kenma looks at me.
"Stop it Kuro you're gonna scare me I hate when you do that" Kenma says.
"I'm not trying to scare you Kenma I'm seweious" I say.
*sniffles* there it is again.
"See Kenma! There it was again you heard it that time huh?" I ask after seeing Kenmas eyes go wide
"Kuro... I wanna go home now"Kenma says hiding behind my back.
"Kenma don't be scared I'm sure it's just a sad person" I say and look at him.
"Stay here I'm gonna go. Check okay" I say to Kenma and walk towards the sniffling sound.
I look into the thorn bush and see a little girl. She looks dirty she's covered in mud cuts and bruises.
"Kuro what is it hurry I'm scared" Kenma says.
"Kenma it's a kid like us" I say and Kenma walks over. He looks into the bush and sees her.
"Is that a girl" he says and I nod.
"Hey... come here" I say holding my hand out to the girl.
She scoots further away and deeper into the torn bush. How is she not getting hurt. I sigh and look at Kenma.
"Don't touch her we don't know her" Kenma says smacking my hand away.
"Kenma she's hurt she needs help" I say and he sighs.
"Hey little girl come out now!" Kenma shouts at her and I watch her flinch and cover her ears.
"Kenma don't yell at her... she's scared" I say and he rolls his eyes
"I'm scared too it's getting dark and I wanna go home" Kenma says.
I ignore him and sit on the ground next to the thorn bush. I sit and wait for a bit not saying anything but I can hear Kenma huffing and puffing.
"Hey can you come out so we can help you... please it's getting late and my mom will get worried" I say to the little girl and she shakes her head no.
"Okay then will you promise to stay right here I'll be right back" I say and she nods.
"Say I promise" I say and she just looks at me
"Okay never mind stay right here I have to take my friend home I'll come back" I say and she nods.
"Come on Kenma let's get you home." I say to Kenma and he nods.
We walk silently until we get to his house when we get there he stops and looks at me.
"What are you going to do now" he asks.
"Going to get my moms help" I say and he nods.
"Okay bye Kuro" he says and walks into his house.
I turn around and walk back to my house quickly. I open the door and scream.
"MOM HELP" I shout and my mom runs out of the kitchen.
" testu honey what's wrong?!" My mom says to me after running out of the kitchen.
"Help come on hurry" I say and she looks at me and slips on some shoes. I drag her by her hand and we get a little ways down the road.
"Honey I need you to tell me what's wrong?" My mom says and I just keep dragging her.
We reach the thorn bush and I look inside and see the little girl laying there I smile and then look back at my mom.
"Mom look she's hurt" I say and point into the bush she looks into the bush and her eyes go wide.
"Oh my goodness is that a little girl" she asks and I nod.
"Alright honey I am going to need you to crawl in there and try to push her out. It looks like she's taking a big nap" mom says and I nod
I crawl through a opening at the bottom of the bush and go back towards her I touch her face And she's freezing. I take my hoodie off and slide it over her sleeping body. I then push her with all I can. She's not heavy I'm just small and weak! I need to get stronger so I can help people. I finally get her close enough to the opening and my mom grabs her and pulls her out. Watch as my mom picks her up and I crawl out as well.
"What do we do now mom" I ask and my mom sighs and looks at me.
"We're going to take her home first and get her all cleaned up and warmed up and then we will call the cops to see if there's a missing child in our area" my mom says and I nod.
I sigh as a look at the sleeping girl in my moms arms what happened to her. Why was she crying inside that bush and why won't she talk to me. Is she hurt... will she be okay. What will happen to her after we call the police. I sigh and continue walking home with mom.  Once we get home I watch as my mom lays her down on our couch I sit on the floor next to her and then my mom comes back with a bucket of water and a wash cloth. I look at my mom confused and she sighs
"I have to clean up her cuts get out so I can go that... go to your room okay" mom says and I nod and walk up to my room. I sit on my bed and sigh. I take the house phone and call Kenmas house.
