"Where's Ava and Hayden?" I asked, sprinting beside Lukas.

"They're just around the corner down in an alleyway," he said, holding me.

We turned around the corner and we entered an alleyway. I saw Ava and Hayden and I hugged them both.

Lukas and I called Mom and Dad. They said they'll be there in a few minutes. We waited five minutes and Mom and Dad arrived.

"Come on," Mom said with a half terrified, half anxious look. We drove off to Hayden's house but a man jumped in front of the car. I cursed so badly that if it was just a normal day my Mom would've slapped my mouth hard.

Dad rammed the car straight into a lamppost and we screamed. The man on the windshield got squashed leaving blue blood on the windshield and disintegrated.

We skidded to a halt abruptly. Mom cursed and said, "They prodded the right wheel," she said.

Dad led us out of the car and more of those men came running with daggers and knives. Dad told us to run and find this address.

Canal Street

No. 143

We ran. Mom and Dad were fending off the men while we ran. As we turned a corner more men in black clothes with silver daggers blocked our path. I held tightly onto Lukas's hand and Hayden's. One man grabbed Ava and I shrieked, terrified. Ava began crying, reaching her hand out. I tried to grab her but the man holding her pulled her hand away.

He raised the dagger to her throat. She whispered, "Go guys!" but I said I won't leave her. She told us just to go. I said no but we had no choice. We ran until we reached the address.

"Oh hello children," a lady said and she led us in. She beckoned us to come to the basement. When we arrived it wasn't a normal basement but an HQ.

"Welcome to the haven for children whose parents are superheroes!"
