It's Just Us Now

Chapter 5: Messengers

Later that day I went straight home. I'm sort of getting use to my new life but i miss my old life. I miss my friends, i miss the food,and most importantly i miss my dad.Ughh,my life just SUCKS right now.

Speaking of food i could really use a big slice of overly greasy and really cheesy pizza. MHHHHHHH, I 'm so going to regret this later but i cant help it i have 1st lunch everyday. And first lunch is like breakfast too me, It starts too early and ends to late.

I go to a local pizza and sub shop near my house. Even though i know I'm not going to eat two slices of pizza,I order it anyways.

While in sitting in the Pizza Shop people start staring at me so i pick up my phone and let my mind wander. I wander to Daniel's contact number,i begin to text him.

* Hey I thought you was going to text me*. Before i hit the "send" button i start to hesitate. I decide that the worst that can happen is if he doesn't reply.

A few minutes later.
* Yeahh srry i just got out of work, wt U up 2*

OMMGGG he works! Ummm it's not a big deal too me but a guy like Daniel doesn't look like the working type, no offense .
I get all nervous for some reason but i decide that me and Daniel are just friends and i just need to be myself.
* I was OMW home and just decided to grab a slice of pizza.*

He replys less than 45 seconds later.

*Are you alone, do you want some company!?😉*

I start smiling like a dumbass and i don't realize that I haven't replied yet.

* Umm Hello, i know you read my text. Im coming to find you😑*

OMG this guy just wont give up will he?

*LMFAO you dont know which one im at😁*

I reply back slyly, knowing he is going to reply back with something even more clever. So I admittedly give in.

* Fine you win this one, im at Pizza & Subs right near the bus stop down the street from our school*

I press send. And wait for his reply. And i wait and wait until im startled from a nice soothing voice that is calling my name. I look up and there he is.
" Hey brooke whats up"
I tremble while i try to find the right words to say to this incredibly handsome guy who can not seem to leave me alone.
" Hello Daniel, you love stalking me! Huh I bet its the highlight of your day" i say sarcastically as i wave my hands in the air, mirroring a rainbow.

" Actually i was on my way home and you texted me and i seen you sitting in here alone, so I thought i would be a good friend and come keep you company" he says with a little more attitude then i expected.
" Whooah tiger relax have some pizza"
I give a him a plate and a slice of pizza. He looks at me then the pizza then back at me.

" Fine i will eat the pizza but just to let you know im not stalking you."

He says.

"Then what are you doing, what do you want from me?"
I reply, i sound like a desperate stuck up girl who knows she's the shit. But in actuality im not the shit.
" Well honestly Brooke you look like a nice girl who's been hurt and you are really mysterious too me, and i am making it my duty to try and figure you out"

I laugh, the he laughs. And we sit there and laugh together. I go quiet and he finally breaks the silence.
" Look i think it's pretty obvious that i might have a tiny little crush on the new girl. And i know Jesse has told you all of this"
Atleast he is being honest.

" Yeah Jess told me you have a crush on me and just to let you know im not looking for a relationship right now."
I say ao i dont lead him on.

" I understand, but i still want to be your friend if that is okay with you an then maybe with time it will build into something else?!?"
I hesitate and think about this, Daniel seems like a nice guy so why not be his friend for now and get to know him better

"Fine okay just friends"
Daniel approves with a smile.

We spend the rest of the day walking around an talking about oursleves. Daniel does most of the listening which is so comforting in so many ways. Then he takes me home and we hug goodbye.

We end up staying up all night texting on the phone laughing and joking around. So far Daniel seems like a nice person.
