The rumors

Chapter 2

Achara's POV

My life was so...bland and colorless. Everything was the same. Wake up, go to school with Sienna, stare at Liam in first period, go to my other classes, stare at Liam in lunch, stare some more at him in fifth period, tease Sienna for staring at Alex, go home, repeat.

I was poking my lip with my fork thinking about what happened earlier, not paying any attention to Sienna, Aliyah, and Maddie's conversation. 

"You there?" Sienna asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. I readjusted my glasses and nodded.

Sienna gave me a look and turned to the others and said, "We'll be right back."

Sienna dragged me to the bathroom where no one was there and asked, "what happened?"

I was about to say nothing but I knew that wouldn't work with her, "This morning a guy came up to me and said he likes me and asked me to be his girlfriend and kinda even tried to kiss me but I ran away."

Sienna looked at me with wide eyes and shook my shoulders, "Why would you run away? Well, the bigger question is who is he?"

"Calm down, it's not a big deal," I took a deep breath and finished the rest of my sentence. "it was Liam."

Sienna started freaking out, "WHAT? LIAM RIVERS ASKED YOU OUT?"

I almost thought the whole school heard her, "Of course not! Liam Alexander said that, if it was Liam Rivers I wouldn't be here right now." 

Sienna looked disappointed.

Aliyah and Maddie waved goodbye and left for Choir while Sienna and I walked to Science, when we entered the school building, people were looking at me. Staring. Illene and her friends, meanwhile, were glaring at me.

I was confused as to why they were looking at me.  Sienna whipped out her phone and scrolled through social media. 

I turned to find a shook Sienna, she looked at me and shoved her phone in my hands, "Read."

I was looking at a photoshopped picture of Liam Rivers and...me?

The caption read, "Liam Rivers asked Achara Saeli to be his girlfriend!"

Achara was talking to one of her friends in the bathroom during A lunch. "Liam came up to me this morning and said he like me and asked me to be his girlfriend and kinda tried to kiss me but I ran away," she said.

After that only whispered could be heard but then her friend screams out, "WHAT? LIAM RIVERS ASKED YOU OUT?"

Did Liam Rivers really ask her out or is she making this up, we need Liam's confirmation!!

"No no no no no no, it wasn't Liam Rivers it was Liam Alexander!" I started freaking out.

"Calm down, it's okay, Liam is just going to tell them that the rumors are false."

I started breathing in and out, "Yeah, your right."

"Except for the fact that we are going to see Liam and Illene and when people get to know that Liam didn't ask you to be his girlfriend, they're going to think you made this up for his attention."

That's when she realized I was still next to her. "I'm going to go home, I'm just gonna say I'm sick or something. I can't face Liam, he's going to think I just want his attention..."

I was ranting on and on about how my life was going to be ruined and Sienna tried to drag me to class.

I took a deep breath as I walked into class. Everyone was staring at me, Illene and her friends were looking at me with pure hate, Alex's expression was unreadable. But the worst of all was the disappointed look Liam gave me.

Science was going to be terrible.
