❝Hey, Soohyeon! Over here!❞ Hearing Iseul's voice carries over the air, Soohyeon instantly sets out to find her.She turns to look at Iseul, who is positioned close to a tall light post. Iseul is smiling and waving towards Soohyeon with her outstretched hand.
❝You mentioned a split second ago that you hadn't arrived yet,❞
Soohyeon complains, yet she still manages to smile warmly at the cheerful girl.
❝Yeah. My bad. Anyways, let's go shall we?❞
She walks alongside Soohyeon, who is now headed towards a well-known restaurant in their town.
❝Girl, you gotta tell me a lot about your Jake.❞
When she watches her, Iseul's eyebrows flutter with interest and excitement.
When she informed her friends that she had made a new online friend, they immediately began to tease her about it. That is why Soohyeon regrets telling them what happened.
❝Yeah. Whatever.❞ She rolls her eyes.
Eventually, they arrive at the entrance of the tall, green edifice that serves as the restaurant's entryway.
The guests can hear the clinking of plates as they enter, and the muffled conversations can be made out even before they have fully entered the building.
Fortunately, they are able to snag a seat at a window table despite the restaurant being completely full. When they've decided on their meals, they can finally begin speaking to one another.
❝So, Soohyeon, care to explain who this man of yours is?❞ She adopts a teasing stance and asks once more.
❝It's a friend, Iseul.❞ She emphasizes the word friend.
❝Well.. mmhm. You never know Soohyeon if it'll stay as a friend.❞ Again, she engages in playful banter.
❝Iseul, we've never even spoken to each other face to face. So please, no more of this nonsense.❞ Soohyeon fumes.
❝Okay, I'm sorry, can you tell me the story of how you guys met online?❞ Iseul ponders, turning her head to one side.
❝Alright,❞
She begins to explain how he was being such a jerk for phoning 911 because he couldn't remember the phone numbers of his friends.
She explains the details of their conversation from the Q&As to their school.
❝You guys added exchanged instas??? Damn, Soohyeon. When have you been so bold.❞ Iseul covers her mouth in surprise.
❝He wouldn't stop begging so I eventually added him.❞
She just shrugs and took a sip of the drink that she ordered.❝Here's his insta account.❞ She says, holding out her phone, and showing his new selfie post.
❝Let's see if u got a goo- WH.❞ Soohyeon quickly covers her friend's mouth as she saw it coming.
❝Stay quiet, damn it you're embarrassing us.❞ Soohyeon says, looking around at the busy people.
Iseul, who is still in shock, looks at her is wide eyes. ❞Girl, you're not getting catfished, are you?❞
Soohyeon nods, ❝I know, that's why I kept on rejecting his invitations. I don't trust people online, I trust in Mei's words,❞
She calls out her friend as she had experienced being catfished already.
❝You damn right.❞ Iseul nods in agreement.
