Stuck at sea

Chapter Two "The Stranger"

Then suddenly my body felt as if it was flung, and something wrapped tightly around my waist, gripping me with such force. Without any hesitation, my body was soon pulled from the deep ocean depths and to the surface. I gasped for air as I opened my eyes, but when I went to look at what had pulled me to the surface with such force, but there was nothing there.

The only thing I could see for miles was what looked to be a large tropical deserted island, so I started to swim. Once I had finally reached the island, I was covered in sand, my hair tangled, and my dress torn. "Well crap, my dress is torn. This sucks balls", I said to myself as I stood up. "I can't believe this is even happening, first of all why the hell would anybody want to kidnap me, second of all WHY THE HELL DID THEY HAVE TO RUIN MY DRESS", I shouted at absolutely nothing. "Wow you're a very up tight kid aren't you?", A voice said. I jumped in shock, soon turning my gaze to the mysterious voice. There beside me...laying on the beach was a...MERMAID!?

There in the midday sun, laid a long silky blue haired girl, with a chiseled jawline, scales covering her body, and a long fish-like tail. Her eyes glimmered in the light as she looked up at me with such innocence. "What the hell dude, I'm not a kid. Also YOU LOOK THE SAME AGE AS ME! AND ANOTHER THING! WHAT THE BUTT ARE YOU!?", I shouted. "Calm down, I'm Mavis, I'm 21, and I'm a mermaid. This is my home island, where many of you humans so-called fairy tail creatures come from", She said. I just stared at her in shock, my mind racing. "Second of all, I just rescued you from drowning, so try to be more grateful you little twerp", She grunted. With that, her tail soon began to glow, and her scales disappeared. Her tail soon split into two, and She now had legs, looking just like a regular human.

I just watched in amazement until I soon realized, "Wait!? WHY ARE YOU NAKED!?"I shouted before quickly turning away, my face as red as a tomato. "You shout a lot", Mavis said as she grabbed a satchel She had stashed behind a rock, and pulled some pants and a shirt out from it, putting them on. "You can turn around now", She said with a smirk. I then turned back to face her and just admired her muscles. "Come on, you'll need some food after the rough day you've had." She said to me, I then nodded, and she began to lead me off the beach and into the island's woods. As we walked I just admired the island's beauty, taking in every inch of its wonders, but still hating the god forsaken mosquitos.

After a while of walking I gripped onto Mavise's arm. "My feet hurt! When will we be there?". I groaned. Mavis looked at me with a scowl on her face. "Look with your eyes, we are here", She said as she pointed to a large tree, with a huge treehouse built in its branches. I gasped in disbelief at the beautiful treehouse. It was so large and so beautiful. "Come on, I have some food inside", Mavis said before leading me to the treehouse ladder.

We then climbed up the ladder, and were now inside the treehouse that was surprisingly modern looking. "Whoa...This is ass!", I said with a laugh. "You're a real asshole aren't you?"Mavis groaned. She then walked to a table in the middle of the room, and grabbed a large strange fruit and handed it to me. "What's this?"I asked her. "Just try it,'' she replied. I then took a deep breath and took a large bite out of the fruit.
The fruit juices slipped down my throat, filling my mouth with a sweet delicious flavor and a big smile soon grew on my face. "This is delicious!", I said with excitement. Mavis then chuckled and smiled brightly. "Well you should get some rest after such a long day. I'll tell you more about the island in the morning", She said. She then motioned for me to follow her, soon taking me to a small room with one small cot made of leaves. "This is where you'll sleep,'' she said. I groaned but still laid down, my mind racing. All I could think about was this amazing island, but also how I may never see my father again.

After hours of just laying in the make-shift bed, my thoughts finally put me to sleep. The next morning I woke up to the sweet sound of chirping birds, and the sun shining through the trees. It was so nice and beautiful, until I realized how dirty I was. When I got myself out of the bed, I stood up and tried dusting off my dress, but it was no use, my dress was ruined. The floorboards creaked loudly as I walked through the treehouse, alerting Mabis that I was awake. "Good morning, by the way I never asked your name", Mavis said as she stood in her kitchen, holding a bowl of fruit.
"My name is Nina", I said as I walked to her. "So what are we doing today?", I asked. "Well we are going to Fairy village to get you some new clothes, then to a hidden crystal cove, so i can tell you more about the island", She said. "Ugh fine, guess i have to get used to nature", I groaned.
