The warm fire crackled in the stone fireplace, sending little sparks into the air. They danced around the room, and the sound of tiny footsteps tapped against the wooden floor. Within seconds a little boy with the cutest giant pointy ears jumped into my arms. "Mommy!", He yelled in excitement. I smiled, petting his head and intertwining his raven-black curls in my fingers. "Where is your sister?", I asked him.
The large wooden door creaked open, Mavis walked through. Her hair was tied up, and she had a towel resting over her shoulders. Behind her, she was holding the hand of a blue-haired little girl. "Sorry I'm late, I took our little guppie swimming", She said with a bright smile. "Let me guess, Marco ran ahead of you two", I said as i held up the little boy. Mavis planted a kiss on my forehead, then patted Marco's head. "Want to go have a picnic on the mountain and watch the sunset?", I asked her. I stood from my seat, holding Marco in my arms.
Mavis rested her hand on the little girl's head and smiled. "I'm sure guppie would love that", She replied. The little girl jumped up and down, ecstatic giggling. "Let's go!", Guppie cheered.  With a smile i began to walk toward the nursery, "I'll grab little Otto and we can be on our way", I said while opening the door to the nursery.
