Chapter 5: Tears and Interviews

When they went on the elevator, Jinyoung bombarded them with praises, saying it was the best parade they'd had since the 10th hunger games.

Hyunjin smiled happily at the praise, it was nice to know that people actually thought he looked good for once. The only people that have told him he was handsome was his mother, father, occasionally his sister and constantly by his friends.

So when other people complimented him..he felt all warm and fuzzy inside. But it doesn't matter now, he was gonna be unrecognizable soon enough.

HyunA did her own fair share of praising as well, babbling on about how amazing they looked in flames. And how she had spent most of the day trying to gain them sponsors, " Oh it was very clever of me, I said, 'Well, if you put enough pressure on coal it turns to pearls!'" HyunA beamed brightly at the twins.

The twins couldn't bring themselves to tell her that her 'cleverness' was absolutely wrong. Jinyoung sure wanted to though, at least until JB stomped on his foot to shut him up mid sentence.

Coal, in fact, does not turn into pearls, they grow in shellfish. Hyunjin thought she might have meant coal turns into diamonds, but that's untrue. The only district to have diamonds is district 1.

Though HyunA has told them that she herself can't seal the deal with sponsors, only JB and Jinyoung can do that.

It made Hyunjin slightly relieved that she was determined about this, he had initially thought she would've just put in a half assed effort with helping them.

Once Hyunjin saw his quarters..he thought that this was the biggest fucking room he's ever seen.

So he ran to the meeting room where Jinyoung stood, a smirk on his face as he watched Hyunjin run into the room.

" It's a big room, right?" Jinyoung asked, and Hyunjin only nodded.

" I can't stay in there..too much room.." Hyunjin mumbled, settling himself on the couch.

" I don't understand you guys..you're cooped up in a small house your whole life, and when you finally get some room you don't like it?" Jinyoung shook his head, when he first saw this place he enjoyed it while he could.

" I'm just not used to it." Hyunjin replied, and he pulled at a strand of his black hair. " You know, me and Dawn talked for a while getting ready for the opening parade, and he brought up that I'd look good with blonde hair..what do you think?"

Jinyoung thought for a bit, trying to envision what Hyunjin would look blonde. " I'm not sure..I'd have to see you with the hair color first..not sure what to think." Jinyoung finally answered.

And Hyunjin hummed, " I wanna try it..I saw a few of the other tributes had colored their hair a different color, I thought it was pretty cool."

" I won't stop you from doing it, go ahead." Jinyoung smiled, " Who knows, maybe you'll rock it better than the natural blondes."

Hyunjin laughed a little, " I'll keep that in mind."

" Hyunjin! Did you see those- those awful cells they call bedrooms!?" Yeji screeched as she ran into the meeting room, and JB came rushing after her.

" Yeji! It's not even that bad!" JB exclaimed.

" You expect to be able to live in these conditions?" Yeji asked sassily.

" What do you want me to do? Make everyone share a room so it isn't as roomy?" JB asked, not expecting Yeji to take it seriously.

But then Hyunjin was walking happily to Yeji's room, his hands gripped tightly around JB and Jinyoung's wrists as Yeji skipped to her room along with him
