Chapter 7: More training + Heart to heart with Minho

It was the last day of training and this time Hyunjin was with Yeji for few stations, talking with Mark as he taught Yeji how to wield a sword.

Then Hyunjin felt a tug on his sleeve and looked down at the source of the tug, and saw that it was Riki, the boy from district 11.

Hyunjin smiled at the younger boy, " What is it, Riki?" Hyunjin asked as he crouched down.

" Could you help with the sword? You were really cool last time and I wanted to ask you for help." Riki replied with a sweet smile, and Hyunjin smiled more.

" Of course I can help you!" Hyunjin immediately took the opportunity, and asked Riki to grab a training sword.

Hyunjin happily helped Riki with a sword and even playfully sparred with him, Hyunjin let Riki win of course.

And after Yeji was done with figuring out how to handle a sword she suggested the three of them go to the climbing area.

And so they did, Sunghoon joining them at some point, Hyunjin made sure to watch the younger tributes carefully, waiting for if they would fall or something.

" Yeji! How did you get tangled up like that!?" Hyunjin exclaimed and ran over to Yeji, her hands were all caught up in the ropes and one of her ankles had some rope twisted around it.

" I don't know!" Yeji replied, struggling to move her arms.

" Stop struggling, or else I won't be able to get you out!" Hyunjin hissed, helping his sister out of the rope, Yeji scrambled as far as she could from the ropes that she just escaped from.

" Thank you.." Yeji mumbled, feeling slightly embarrassed about what had just happened.

" How about we go to the archery station?" Hyunjin suggested, and Yeji shook her head.

" JB-Hyung told me to stick to low profile tasks that I either don't know or need working on." Yeji replied, she was fairly good at archery and didn't want show off like Hyunjin was very obviously doing.

" Fine, fine..what about..the.." Hyujin didn't know what station to say as she had already done all of them.

" Having trouble choosing a station?" Felix asked from behind the group of 4, causing Hyunjin to turn towards Felix.

" Yes, we are, have any non-archery ideas?" Hyunjin questioned Felix, and Felix beamed at them.

" What about the edible foods station? You, Yeji and I haven't gone near it for the past few days soo.." Felix smiled happily, waiting for Hyunjin to finish his sentence.

" We could go there!" Hyunjin instantly read the younger's mind and two high fived, Yeji smiled at the 2 and took Sunghoon and Riki's hands.

" Then let's get walking." Yeji walked ahead of the two and Felix and Hyunjin followed behind her.

When they got there Hyunjin walked up first, " Let me go first, as I am the hunter of our family." Hyunjin smiled to himself and Yeji rolled her eyes.

" Be quiet, you only started three months ago." Yeji replied.

" Who brought a wolf home?" Hyunjin challenged and Yeji huffed before looking away. " That's right, it was me."

And then Hyunjin took his chance with the game, and got a pretty good score though he did mix up poison hemlock with wild carrots.

" Not a very perfect score for a hunter." Yeji snickered and Hyunjin pushed her towards the machine.
