"Welcome to New York sis," Cleo said. I ran to the railing, squinting at the horizon to see the approaching coastline of Long Island.

"Gracie, you'll find Camp Halfblood at, Farm Road 3.141 on the North shore of Long Island. Mom and Dad gave me this pack to give to you, I don't know exactly what's in it but there should be a decent amount of mortal money so you can get a cab to Camp." Cleo said as she handed me a backpack stuffed with supplies. She pushed the hair covering my eyes out of my face so she could see them. "You're going to do great, I promise."

"If you need anything we're only one iris message away. And baby sis, be careful out there, you never know who to trust." Luke added. He glanced at Cleo and nodded. They both hugged me goodbye and got back on the boat. I watched as they sailed off speeding back to California.

All I had to do was get a cab and have it take me to Camp. It wasn't that hard of a task for someone who doesn't smell like take-out food to monsters. Being in the big city was scary enough without having to worry about some ancient creature attacking me.

"Hello!" said a voice behind me. Unfortunately for them, I was raised as a fierce Roman and worse, by my mom. I turned around and judo flipped the person behind me without even stopping to see who it was. I looked down to see a brunette haired boy with blue eyes groaning on the ground. "That hurt," he whimpered.

"Sorry about that! I thought you were trying to kill me or something." I said as I helped him up.

"Why would someone be killing you?" he asked. The boy looked around my age and was a few inches taller than me.

"Let's just say I haven't been to New York in a while," I answered. He stared at me curiously then suddenly his eyes went wide.

"What's up with your eyes?" He asked. I quickly pushed the hair back into my face to cover his view. His face drooped. "I never said I didn't like them." He added quickly. "I'm Connor."

"I'm Gracie," I said, "Well it's been nice to meet you but I really gotta get going. Do you know which direction Farmer Road is?"

"Farmer Road? Do you mean as in Half-Blood Hill? You're a half-blood aren't you? I should've known! No mortal girl could have reacted that fast to someone surprising them." He said, I stood there, silent, with an exasperated look on my face. Who was this guy?

"Um, well yeah I am a half-blood and I'm really hoping you are too because, if not, this would be very awkward," I replied. I stood there staring at Connor. How could he be so bold?

"You're in luck because I am now your official demigod escort to Camp Half-Blood." He replied while mocking a butler. I had no idea how I was gonna deal with him as my escort. I probably would've been better off with a monkey.
