This quest was a lot different than the ones I've been on before. Back at Camp Jupiter, we actually left the camp. Not that I went on a lot of quests, they only took me if it had something to do with water and my brother was busy with his praetorship.
I had no clue where we were supposed to start, until Jasper spoke up, "It's Rosie and Jack," Connor and I looked over at him with shock, "They were the ones talking in the woods. I mean Gracie you must have known that, after meeting both of them. You said you saw them in your dream, the night that I found them."
"What happened when they saw you?" Connor asked. Jasper had been gone for two days, and there isn't a scratch on him.
"They didn't. They saw Gracie."
"What do you mean?"
"Gracie, it was as if you were actually there, you couldn't tell it was you, but there was a merky outline of a person." Jasper looked directly at me as if he was spooked. I hadn't seen Jasper in person since I was like 7, he and his dad used to come visit us in California and check on the nature spirits there, but they never stayed long. Jasper's horns were much smaller than most of the other satyrs around camp, which could help if he ever needed to leave camp.
"Did you happen to hear what package they were talking about?"
"Package?" Connor asked. He looked lost.
"They were talking about some weapon, something important, it thinks it's supposed to be a sword," Jasper explained. I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. The weapon could be anywhere or anything. My dagger appears when I tap the seaglass on my ring, hell the sword could even talk.
"Do you have any idea where it's located?" Connor asked. Jasper shook his head. "Where are we supposed to look first?"
"Well we can't let Rose and Jack find out that we know it's them," Connor explained, "our best shot is to keep this whole prophecy a secret."
"Great, another secret I have to keep from this camp." I sat down against a tree and shoved my head in my hands. "Why can't I go a day on this earth without causing trouble?"
"Gracie, it's not your fault," Connor said as he sat down next to me, "You didn't choose to be in this prophecy."
"How did the prophecy go again?" Jasper asked.
"Off to Camp, across the sea she shall travel, lightning she'll need to find, for her task to unravel, the wise-sea's daughter stands alone, to reach the dark prince's throne."
"Well we need to find lightning. That's a step right?" Connor suggested. I rolled my eyes at him.
"You're lightning dummy."
"Oh."
"Enough sitting around guys, we have to start somewhere," Jasper said. I looked up at him shocked at how he took charge. Connor must have been shocked too because he just blinked.
"Why don't we spend the day going around camp and doing our normal activities," I advised, "You two can join in with other cabins to try and get some information while I figure out what this weapon might be with mine."
"Leave it to the Athena Cabin to locate a magical weapon." I hit him in the arm and he nudged my shoulder back. Jasper was just staring at us, braiding a plastic wrapper into a bracelet. That was kinda his thing, repurposing trash. Connor looked at the bracelet Jasper was making and gasped.
"That reminds me, I was supposed to give you this," he pulled out a leather necklace with nothing on it and tied it around my neck. "Your own camp necklace! How exciting?" I smacked his hand away from my neck, waved to Jasper and ran to find my cabinmates.
