Okay, update update. I will try to have one update by every Monday or Tuesday.
Zach and Alira continued arguing for the next 15 minutes, much to Lulu and Bata's dismay.
"At least, Alira seems more comfortable right now." Bata whispered to Lulu.
Zach overheard. He became quiet as he thought.
'That's true. In the forest, she was scared of every little noise. But here, even though this place looks nothing like anything we've ever seen and we are around new people, she seems perfectly at home. Her personality change from the forest till now us quite drastic.'
"Hey! Are you listening to me?!" Alira snapped her fingers in front of Zach.
"No. I wasn't." He bluntly replied.
"Its rude not to listen to someone when they're talking to you!"
"Sorry."
Alira huffed and folded her arms across her chest.
"I got a question."
Before Alira could say anything, he continued.
"Why are you so. . . what's the word?. . . Comfortable? Why are you so comfortable here? In the forest you seemed so scared. But here, you act as if nothing had happened."
Alira lifted a finger to her chin in thought. Why did she feel so comfortable here?
"I don't know. It feels almost like. . . like I've been here before. It's hard to explain. It's a lot like. . . Deja vu."
*Deja vu - A feeling of 'again'. You feel as if you've experienced this already*
"Deja vu? That makes no sense." Zach shook his head in disbelief.
"Actually, it might." Bata waddled over to the two.
"What do you mean?" Alira asked.
"Well, you were here in your past life. Maybe that's why you feel so at home here." The duck explained.
"That would make sense." She mumbled to herself.
It became silent.
"How long till we get to the Miya sisters?" Zach broke the silence.
"Its should be about a five day trip, including any stops." Lulu explained.
"Five days?!" Alira exclaimed.
"Yes. Including any stops."
Alira laid over on her back and rubbed her eyes with the palms of her hands.
"Stuck here with Mr. Blunt for five days is too long." She muttered.
"Mr. Blunt?"
Alira looked up at Zach who had a genuinely confused face.
"You! You are Mr. Blunt!"
Zach seemed to be in thought.
"I don't understand." Zach thought aloud.
"Blunt and dense, a very dangerous combination." Alira sighed.
"Dangerous indeed." Bata agreed.
The two laughed along with Lulu. Zach just stared at the three.
"Lulu?" Alira crawled to the edge of the raft.
"Yeah?"
"Can you tell me about sirens?"
