Achilles: Eren...

Eren: Achilles...

Achilles stared at the man who sat down on a bench, missing a leg.

Achilles: You've certainly seen better days.

Eren: I could say the same thing about you. You look old.

Achilles walked over and sat next to him.

Achilles: You know why I'm here, right?

Eren: Yes, I do...so your gonna blow up the port?

Achilles: Actually, there's been a change of plans. I'm gonna do it at the at the festival. Right after I give my broadcast.

Eren turned to make eye contact with the man sitting next to him. He looked into Achilles eyes. They had lost the light to them and they were filled with hate and rage.

Eren: Really? Are you sure?

Achilles: Yes. I'll begin my broadcast and I'll blow the place.

Eren: And this will work?

Achilles: It has to. With the help of the volunteers, we've set up a room in the building directly across from the stage.

Eren: Sounds good...but wait, if we don't destroy the port, then won't they invade on boats? They could get to Paradis easy that way.

Achilles: Trust me. If they invade by boat then that will make things way easier. My Warhammer titan and collausal, could decimate armies withing minutes. And remember, your position is still under the stage. You should be safe from the blast down there.

Eren: And what about reiner?

Achilles: I'll make sure that he's sent down there. He is no use to me anyways. You can kill the bastard for all I care.

Eren looked back forward.

Eren: You sure changed. From what I remember back in the Cadet corps. You were very soft spoken and kind.
Now, your like a completely different person.

Achilles: I Haven't changed. It's just that appending war draws near. And I need to act fast. I want to end everything quickly. So I can go back to my home. Back to my wife and child. Hopefully...I can be there when my next child is born.

Eren: Historia...is she on board with all this?

Achilles: Don't know. Back when we fought Rod reiss, she told me that she'd always stand by my decision, as long as it was for the islands sake. So I hope so.

They then both heard the yell of a kid. Eren turned his head to see Falco walking over to him.

Eren: Achilles, you get out of here--

When he turned his head back to where Achilles was, he was gone without a trace.

It was now nighttime and Achilles stood in the upstairs bedroom, gazing out the window at the night city lights.

Achilles: Tomorrow, everything goes to hell.

He heard the opening of a door downstairs and footsteps.

Achilles: Peick must be home.

As he walked down the stairs he saw peick putting on a pot of coffee.

Achilles: How's your father?

Peick jumped at the sudden presence of the man.

Peick: Oh, he's doing better.
