Doris couldn't seem to get her words on paper. The dark room filled with a warm, dim glow of the candle. The damp mist flowed in the air , as the rain poured all over bashinet road. She had a hot bowl of mash next to her, as she tried to write a letter to her overseas friend, Jake . He lived in starfall valley were the sun always shone gold and the air was always calm.
' dear friend
I have put in a request for starfall valley. I hope to see you as we have been talking over letter since WWII when you had to move
See you - Doris la wer'
She gazed at the letter folded it. She then got red wax and stamped a 'pack of solitaire cards' seal. She blew out her candle and walked down the lodge stairs to her mother making herbs, while her father was sitting on the couch watching a gamble show.
"Hey ma! What you cooking with the herbs?" Doris said staring at her mother.
"Well you know Mr gilbert who lives in morhal road?"
"Yes?" Doris replied
" well he's sick so i made him shoiri soup and. And a basket of cinnamon apples" she said
"I can deliver the on my way to the forest ? Tomorrow that is" Doris said putting the letter in the box.
"Great go ask your father what he wants for dinner,"her mother said folding a tea towel. Doris walked over to the leather couch and sat down.
"COME ON GET THE BID!" Her father shouted. She noticed a quil next to him. She snatched it and stared at the golden brown feathers on it.
"Uhh I feel sick, I'm gonna get some rest" Doris said excusing herself to her room.

She sat down at her study, lit the candle and scanned the quil. As she turned it she noticed some writing on the side of It
'Jake mador , watash road, starfall valley'
She knew this was her friends, and she wondered why her father had it. She kept looking on it and found a name, oral, my quil.
That's how Doris's quil got its name, oral.
