Greyson's POV

"Plllllleeeeeaaaaaassssseee" Josh wines loudly in the back seat. He's been begging me for what feels like hours to pull over and get some food. "Look, we'll only be half an hour at the most, in and out" Jay argues. "Fine, but no longer"

I turn to the left into the closest car park that I can see. The sound of my car tyres driving over gravel slows to a stop as I pull into a park. Putting my black Audi into park, I look up. Big, bright lit-up letters stand on top of the white slanted roof spelling out 'The Coffee Club'.

I freeze, memories start flashing through my mind. Memories of the last time we came here, memories of her. The way she talked back, not knowing who I was. Even when she found out who I was, she didn't seem to care. The way she walked with purpose but still looked tired and worn out. The way she spoke to the family with a little girl after taking our order. Just everything about her.

But I have to stop thinking about her. It can't happen, we can't happen. With her personality, sweet but fiery, and my job, it's never going to work. Especially when she finds out about my past.

"YOU COMING GREY" Jay yells from outside the car. I then realise that both of them got out of the car while I was lost in thought. "YEAH" I yell back as I grab my wallet and car keys.

I exit the car and jog to catch up with Josh and Jay. We walk into the cafe together.

The small silver bell at the top of the door rings as we enter. All eyes turn to us and the whispers begin. We were used to it though, and one simple glare at all of them shuts them up.

I lead the boys to a table near the back and sit down on the black couch. Jay and Josh sit on the opposite couch across from me.

Within 5 minutes, Lillian comes out to take our order. My eyes follow her every move.

She had put her light blonde hair in a messy bun with a few strands of hair framing her face giving her a lazy but beautiful look. A few small pimples littered her skin, but I didn't care. It made her seem real. All the girls that I have fucked, their faces have been caked in makeup, making them look fake.

"What can I get for you today?" She says with a happy smile. Different from the first time we met.

"I'll have a chocolate milkshake," Josh says with a small smile on his face. "Would you like anything?" she asks, turning to me. "Coffee" I answer bluntly. I spoke rudely, trying not to get too close because then she will be put in danger.

She walks away slower than before, and I can't help but feel as if I had upset her. I want to comfort her, but as I said before, I can't because of the lengths my enemies would go to harm me. If they see me being friendly to her, then they will hurt her, or worse, kill her. Oh gosh, I'm so whipped already. I need to stop. She doesn't fit in this life, and she never will, so there's no point in me thinking about it if it's never going to happen.

Turning to the boys, I explain our plan for in a few days. "In pochi giorni, facciamo irruzione nella base di Santino al tramonto. L'oscurità ci darà una copertura e saranno stanchi dopo una lunga giornata. Non sospetteranno nulla. Andiamo a uccidere Santino e partiamo, assicurandoci di lasciare il segno sulla via d'uscita" I said in Italian.

("In a few days, we raid Santino's base at sunset. The darkness will give us a cover, and they will be tired after a long day. They won't suspect a thing. We go to kill Santino and leave, making sure to leave our mark on the way out")

Since our gang name was The Night Riders, our tag is a black motorbike drawn by Jayden.

Jayden is the artist one out of the gang, he's also my best friend and right-hand man. Josh is the smart one out of the gang. He's also my best friend, and he's the best hacker in the country.

Lillian came back out with our food and drinks in her hands. "Let me know if you need anything else today".

She turns slightly away from us, she was about to walk away from us when she turns back around, facing us again.

"I'm uh, I'm sorry for yesterday," she says as she puts her right hand on the table. Turning back around, she lifts her hand, walking away.

I look down at the table where she had her hand. There was a piece of paper with writing on it.

'Your plan isn't going to work" it said.

I show it to the twins. "Well that's weird" Josh says quietly to the group before taking a sip of his chocolate milkshake.

Lillian's POV

I give them the note, using my apology as a cover. Hopefully they won't go through with their plan. I know what they said, as I can speak Italian. I also know that the person sitting in a booth behind them also knew their plan because as soon as Grayson had finished explaining the plan, the man behind him got up and left. I followed him outside, hiding in the shadows. I found him around the corner, on the phone. "They're planing to attack in a few days" he said into the phone. I ran back inside to warn Grayson. I don't know why I just felt the need to.
