The next morning while Zayn is still sleeping, a knock landed on the door. He thought it was Matt but it was Niall. Again, giving him a blank expression when he opens the door.
"I'll just wake him up." He simply said without looking at Niall.
After a few minutes, Zayn went out, still messy hair, he greeted him. "Niall, it's been a while, what's up?"
"Yeah, long time no see, bruh" They do a fist bump and Niall tilted his head telling him to move to the balcony so they can talk.
"I heard you requested a month off?"
"Yeah, we'll be having a week of vacation in Jamaica after our wedding." He explained while avoiding the topic of the altercation they had with Liam.
Niall chuckles. "I still can't believe you're getting married soon, congratulations, Z."
Zayn just smiled and looked Niall straight in the eyes. He got the feeling that he didn't come and visit just to greet him.
"Got anything in the office that you want to tell me?"
Niall's smile slowly faded and his face become firm. "Yeah, the higher-ups are doing a massive investigation in the Bronx.. There is illegal gun trading going on in that area. This unknown group has been doing transactions for a month now. At the same time when we discover that drug syndicates. The thing is, there is speculation that these groups are from a Sicilian gang from the east coast... Do you know what that means?"
Zayn averted his gaze at Niall. But he already knew what he was trying to tell him. There is a chance that Harry will be involved in this again. Those 2 groups become rivals ever since the Indelicato group become independent. If Harry's group finds out about this, for sure they will strike back for stepping into their territory and that means another fight will be born.
"We're not sure if they already know about it, but if they do.. It's a guarantee there will be more bloodshed. Did Harry mention anything about this to you? It will help us a lot if we can have information.."
He shook his head. "No. He didn't mention anything; you might find this weird, but we always set aside our jobs and never discuss anything about it whenever we are together. But I will try to give you something." He said but unable to look him in the eye. In the back of his mind, he got the feeling that Harry already knows. Especially when he was called out the other day.
"Thanks, bruh. By the way, the assignment that was given to you was forwarded to me."
He turns his head quickly at him, showing fear in his eyes. That means Niall is going to investigate Harry. And him being in his house is putting Harry's identity at risk.
Niall smile when he can read what's in his mind. "Relax, I'm not going to stab you at the back. Be thankful it's me and not the other guys." Niall gently patted his shoulder. "His identity is safe with me.."
