Out of the six princes, never was prince taehyung appreciated nor praised. His five other brothers bullied him and used to call him "bad blood". His mother was the king's lover. He fell in love with her when he met her during one of his journeys and they shared such passionate love that she became pregnant.

Unfortunately, she died while giving birth to him. The queen of the king was so hurt when she got to know about the king's affair that she couldn't take the pain anymore and died because of a heart attack. The king brought taehyung to the castle however, Kim taehyung was all alone, his father couldn't take care of him because he reminded him of his dreadful deed. The maids used to feed him and bathe him however whoever would try to bond with him was punished by the oldest brothers of the Kim dynasty as they hated him because of the king's and his mother's affair. He was like a leach to them which should be removed. The father turned a blind eye. He felt guilty because his affair caused the queen's death. So he let the sons of the queen do whatever they wanted to do to redeem himself. His love for another woman destroyed his family.

The five legitimate princes of the Kim dynasty used torture ever since taehyung was born. They used to beat him with a whip, used to put insects in his food, used to pull his hair so hard that even strands of hair came out, they used to rip his clothes and used to beat him badly, not only this they even once tried to kill him by yanking his head into ice-cold water, but maid just in time saved him. They made his life living hell, the older brothers used to treat him like their slaves. Kim taehyung used to scream, sob and beg for them to stop but no one responded to him, the maids were too scared to go against the other brothers as they threatened to punish whoever helps taehyung again. The torture continued for 14 years then finally, he snapped.

While Kim taehyung was sleeping prince Jimin tried to strangle him because Jimin hated him because he used to think because of him the queen, his mother, died. Taehyung's eyes widened, he started coughing and gasping for breath, he moved his hands frantically when his hand landed on the fruit knife beside his bedside table. He grabbed the knife and stabbed it into Jimin's eye. Finally, he freed taehyung and put his hand on his wounded eyes and screamed and whimpered. Jimin fell to the ground; his blood cascaded down his cheek dripped on the marble floor. For the first time, Kim taehyung felt alive, seeing Jimin screaming and crying for help reminded him of his past self. Seeing jimin cry reminded him of the numerous times he used to cry for help. He felt he didn't deserve all of this and felt awful about himself. He vowed to himself to not spare anyone who mistreats him anymore.

Taehyung moved closer to him who was lying on the floor screaming in pain. He leaned toward the crying jimin and said "next time it won't be your eye but will be your heart, brain, lungs and every other organ of your body", said taehyung while glaring at Jimin. He saw such a menacing expression on his face before. His expression made jimin so scared that he crawled out of the room.

Taehyung could feel the blood rush in his body as the joy he felt was overwhelming. Seeing jimin being helpless made taehyung breathe. He felt satisfied which he never felt before. He felt powerful. The blood that spewed out of Jimin's eyes made him excited. He wasn't the old taehyung anymore. The 14 years old helpless child became a hungry, power-seeking monster in an instant when he realised that strength and superiority, make others fear. He became the person no one I repeat no one should mess with.
