Jungkook woke up as soon as the sun peeked over the horizon to the east. He merely got any sleep last night as he kept thinking about not seeing mang ever again. Going away from her... going away from this place...he would miss this place. When he stepped into the kingdom he never comprehended he would end up liking someone. So much so that he didn't want to leave. But he had to. Prince taehyung was waiting for him desperately.

After changing the bandage of his wound, he stepped outside the cabin to find mang loitering on the grassy field. His heart started to participate at just a mere glance of her. He balled his fists to control the waves of emotions he began to feel. He gulped and strolled toward mang. Mang turned to jungkook when she got aware of his presence. Her face became slightly flushed at the sight of him. She was still not over what he said the previous day. She pushed a lock of hair behind her ear. She looked him into jungkook's eyes which were filled with disappointment and sadness. Mang's heart ached when she looked into his eyes.

"I see you are ready to leave"

"Yes, I should thank your uncle before I go"

"Uncle has gone for the hunt he will not return before noon"

" oh, so I think I will not be able to meet him"

Mang nodded

"I will miss you mang", said jungkook with a remorseful tone.

"I will...miss you too", said mang in a low tone.

"Really?", said jungkook, now flashing his bunny smile.

" hmm, let me show you the way to reach the Kim kingdom"

"You will help me?"

"I don't want you to climb the mountain with that leg, come follow me".

Jungkook followed mang deep into the forest. After walking for 30 minutes in silence mang stopped at a tunnel covered with vines and leaves.

"Whoa is this a secret passage",

" yes most people don't know about this, this was created a long time, during the war few people escaped to Kim's kingdom to survive, the king knows though, he is planning to block this route.."

"How do you know about that mang"

Mang gulped and said," my uncle for the works for the king ".

"Hmm"

"So... I guess we should part our ways from here jungkook"

"Yes"

"It was nice knowing you...farewell"

"Yes"

Mang pursed her lips and turned around to leave jungkook, however, she was halted when jungkook yanked her by her arm and pulled her close to his chest just like before. Their breaths got heavier and their hearts started to beat faster. Both look into each other's eyes intensely.

"Jungkook-" before mang could finish, jungkook smashed his lips on her lips. His soft lips captured her rosy lips and stopped the words that were about to spill. His hand ran across her silky hair and pulled her closer. Mang was starstruck. She couldn't understand what to do. The softness of his lips made her stop thinking. She let his lips sink deeper into hers and tasted the sweetness of it. Jungkook kissed her passionately yet slowly..not ready to lose her just yet. Eventually, both of their lips moved in sync as mang kissed him back. Their body was so close that they were almost hugging. Finally, their intense moment ceased when they moved away to catch their breaths.

"Jungkook what was th..aat", mang said while huffing.

"I love you mang"

"Jungkook....i..-" jungkook again cut him off.

"You like me too..don't you?"

"I....don't know"

"You kissed me back"

"I was caught up in the moment", she lied.

"Mang...I want you"

"We can't be together you know jungkook".

"Come with me"

"Jungkook don't...we are not destined to be together"

"I will alter our fate mang...trust me...come with me"

Those words changed the man's heart. What wouldn't she do to alter her fate and run away? But she knew jungkook didn't know what he was talking about. However, a hint of hope rose deep from her heart and soon faded as she knew it was too dangerous. Even if she decided to leave with him, later the king would surely find her.

She shrugged off such thoughts and said, "I can't jungkook...you should go now". With that, mang swirled around and started to walk far away from jungkook.

"I will come back mang!", said jungkook one last time for mang to hear and left.

Jungkook went to the palace as soon as he entered the kingdom to meet the prince after two long weeks. He was back to his previous life..however, he was not happy...it seemed as if he lost interest in protecting the sixth prince. But it was not true. He was taehyung's loyal dog and he was still conscious of his responsibilities. However, he just couldn't get over mang. At that moment he said he would go back...but deep down he knew it would be impossible to build a life with her when he had to protect the sixth prince. After all, it was his duty as the soldier of this kingdom. He never knew love could be so intense...intense enough to overshadow all other things.

Jungkook knocked on the door of the sixth prince.

"Who is it", said taehyung in that same stiff tone

"Jeon Jungkook "

"Come in"

Jungkook sighed and entered the room. Jungkook's eyes went wide when he saw taehyung's room looking awfully mucky. The bedsheet looked unclean as if it had not been changed for days. The floor was fraught with wine and alcohol bottles, dirty clothes, and dishes. Jungkook glanced at taehyung, who was digging holes at him with his droopy eyes. He had been drinking all this time. Jungkook after two weeks was about to face the sixth prince's fits.

"Took you long enough for you to come, you better give me some valid information", grumbled taehyung and took a sip from the alcohol bottle.

"Sir may I ask what happened here..have you been alright while I was gone?".

"Hmmm...nothing much I just didn't leave my room for two weeks nor let anyone enter my room except one whore maid to bring me food only and made her taste the food she brought...what if those bastards tried to poison me and tried to kill me.....those nasty insects are scheming against me jungkook...I had to protect myself..now you are here you will protect me just like before..", muttered taehyung. He still was afraid of falling into the hands of the other princes and losing the throne. No way on earth he was losing his crown.

Jungkook sighed internally and said, "yes master".
