As soon as I had agreed to join they let me out of the rather chilly room, only to walk me down to another. To be fair, the new room was much nicer. The room was spacious with a super tall ceiling and a glass chandelier hanging from the center. The left wall was pretty much made entirely out of glass, with big windows and a glass door that led to a nice balcony. The balcony looked over a field that eventually turned into a forest, and it's clear by the clear sky shining brightly with stars that we were decently far out of the city.

"I thought we were still in the city." I mutter, surprised both by the beauty of the view and the fact that they took me far out into the middle of no where and I didn't notice. By the slight smirk on Changbin's face, it seems he noticed my train of thought.

"The plan you made to get out of the building was nice and all, but if we were that easy to escape then what's the point of capturing people in the first place? If anyone was actually able to get past the multiple security measures throughout the house, they would still have to navigate their way back to the city before we could catch up to them. With no vehicles to steal and with very few people driving past this area, out running us is near impossible."

Well shit.

It's now that I realized that I payed very little attention to the actual drive here. If I did I would have noticed the sudden lack of stops that are typically common due to traffic and red lights found in the city. I would have noticed the smell of car exhaust and factory fumes change to corn fields and fresh air. We were near the boarder of the city where they picked me and Jeongin up, so the drive out here wasn't any longer then if they drove to the center of the city sense the city is so large.

I was too caught up in my thoughts to notice such drastic changes, so even though I payed so much attention to detail when we entered the building, it wouldn't have been as easy as I thought to actually escape.

Good thing I didn't try it.

My plan was also based on the idea of this being a typical business building. A lot of gangs use abandoned warehouses because of the added fear factor, regardless of the fact that it's not very nice of a place and it's not very secure. It's also easy to notice, so only gangs who like having their presence known would actually use those places. The other commonly used place are the typical office buildings. They blend in well, and they're nicer and more secure then warehouses.

Because of the layout and the air conditioning, I assumed they went with an office building. Most illegal groups don't often make bases outside of the city, but I guess that's what makes this a rather ideal place to set up.

Still, how did they afford such a nice place? Even the more successful gangs don't accumulate this much wealth, so it's likely a member was wealthy to start with and simply lent this place to the group.

Jeongin, Changbin, Minho, and Seungmin start sitting down, and I take another moment to examine the large room, trying desperately to keep my jaw from hitting the floor.

By the glass wall was a nice fire place that was slightly darkened from the frequent flames. It now lay unlit, the room instead being flooded by the warm glow of the chandelier. Nice white couches were placed nearby, the shape of each resembling a semi-circle, causing all of them together to create 3/4ths of a circle around a glass coffee table. The 1/4ths of the circle that was open faced the fireplace, but there was space between each couch that allowed people to enter the space without having to climb over the backs of the couches.

On the right wall a short staircase led up to an elevated section roughly the size of a wide hallway. Seven black doors stood proudly against the white paneling of the loft, and whatever rooms lay beyond them were only four feet higher then the rather tall main room.
