Mackenzie Samuels - 6th Feb.
I can't believe I decided to come to this stupid party. Well, we decided. Emily made Sammy and I feel really guilty about not wanting to go. She's so excited that Dylan asked her to be his date that we thought it would be cruel to not come because she refused to come without us.
Sammy and I walk in and I'm instantly filled with regret when I see the state of the majority of the guests. Everyone's already completely hammered and we're barely an hour late.
The music is also way to fucking loud, the bass feels like it's going right through me and I can't focus on anything because it's so distracting and frustrating. Emily and Dylan are absolutely nowhere in sight so Sammy and I just keep walking around aimlessly looking for them.
We both agree that we're staying far away from the drinks because how can this many people be this drunk in only an hour? The beer must be spiked or maybe there's some crazy pills floating around ether way I'm staring clear of all of it.
"We should just go?" I suggest.
"Let's give it ten minutes, surely there's some more civilized people around." Sammy says, and he takes my hand so we don't lose each other and we manoeuvre through the drunken sweaty crowd looking for anyone that looks sober.
We walk through a few doors and only find more and more people completely off their faces so we climb the stairs still holding on to each other and Sammy knocks on a few doors but we only get grunts in response so we laugh and continue to the next.
My phone vibrates in my jeans pocket so I drop Sammy's hand and take my phone out of my back pocket to see I have yet another message from Kane.
Kane: I don't know if you're here but if you are all the semi-sober/less drunk people are in the basement. Come join us if you want.
"They're in the basement." I say.
"Oh, yeah, right. I know where that is, should've thought of it sooner." Sammy says and I mentally stab him.
I follow Sammy back down the stairs and through some door and then down some more stairs and he knocks on a door and we wait. I probably should have thought of this sooner too I remember hanging out down here when we were younger.
"Sammy! Mate! And Mackenzie." Jack says excitedly. "Welcome!!" He says.
"Sorry about the fuckery going on upstairs. Some people lose their fucking mind at the sight of free alcohol. Come in. Make yourself at home. Drinks and snacks are scattered around the place so help yourself." He says and holds the door open for us to walk through.
"Looking wonderful as always, my love." Jack compliments with a wink. I roll my eyes at him and follow Sammy further into the basement.
Kane, James and a few of his other friends, Scott, Levi, Jack's other friends Dylan and Tyler and a bunch of other dudes I don't know the names of and a bunch of girls were seated in clusters drinking and chatting together. It was a total different vibe down here and I liked it a whole lot more. The sound system that's set up is pumping out some tunes at half the volume of upstairs so that added to the enjoyment factor.
Emily is sitting on Dylan's lap with his arm wrapped around her waist and they're talking with Tiffany, Brittany, Kane and Tyler. She looks like she's comfortable and having a good time so I don't interfere.
Scott, Levi and James are sitting together with James' other friends who I can't seem to remember the names of so I go over there and sit down in the spare seat. While Sammy sits down opposite me beside Jack.
"Want a drink?" Scott asks me.
We still haven't talked much since our little argument in the school car-park on Tuesday but I think I'm pretty much over it.
