Aki's P.O.V
It's finally home time and my boss,Sophia offered me a lift.Now that we're out of her office,we can put the tension to rest.I treat her as a master when we're on duty and we can freely dispatch the formality after since we are like sisters to each other.
"Aki-chan~!!!! guess how much money that fat guy's credit card hold?!" she giggled as if she was excited for me to guess.
"A hundred thousand? since he can't afford the price you offered to him"
"tot-tooot~ Wrong haha!" she laughed.
"Then how much?"
"10 million!!" she shouted in excitement.
"Woah! that's a lot! but how did you opened it exactly?" I asked.
"Oh how? I got some friends I could count on for that,they can even hack an entire goverment bank account if they must" she responded.
"Is that so? man,your connections cannot be underestimated,huh?"
she's really wicked and everyone at work knows that but there's also kindess in everything she did.
"the 4 million will go for my loyal friends.How many are them again?" she asked.
"You mean your men? they're all 50 in total"
"So they're bonuses will be 40 thousand.Is that enough for them to buy a meal for their family,Aki?" she asked,looking worried.
"What are you talking about? it's more than enough!" I responded.
"Oh is that so? then 2 million for you,my right hand man!" she smiled sweetly while looking at me.Somehow,it suddenly made my heart skip a beat.
"Y-You shouldn't" I don't know why but my words began stuttering.
"No,it's your bonus! take it!" she yelled.
"Then the next 2 million is for your three kids" she laughed.
"Ha.ha.ha,you mean the three kids under me? it isn't even funny" I groaned.
"Then the remaining will be sent into my account" she said.
"You really cared for the whole gang huh?" I asked.
Instead of directly answering me,she just looked at me and smiled.
"Besides my little brother,they are the only ones whose always there for me.They gave their loyalty and limitless serving to me,so of course I would atleast try and make up for them"
"Hey,why not eat dinner at my house?" I suggested while keeping my eyes on the road.
"Huh? your parents didn't eat yet? it's already 6:30 pm"
"Nahh,we usually eat when everyone is present so I'm sure they're already waiting for me to be home" I responded.
But my answer only saddened Sophia.
"It must be nice having a family like that" she mumbled.I made a mistake! I shouldn't have said something like that.
"I'm really sorry if that stunned you! I promised I won't bring up that kind of topic" I apologized.
"No,no,it's alright! I wasn't feeling down.I'm just happy for you that you have a caring family"
Somehow,that answered kinda irritated me."Shut up"
"huh?"
"I said shut up!! don't you ever exclude yourself from us! can't you see? my mom already treated you as one of her kids so don't ever shut yourself.You're so selfless and I think it's kinda sickening.Don't feel happy for me,instead feel happy for yourself!!" I shouted and it left her speechless.
She's the kindest and selfless person I ever met.But sometimes she won't hesitate to leave herself hopeless and defenseless just so that she could save someone.That's just too much for me seeing a bestfriend go through something like this.
"We'll be going at my house,tell Nythan too" I suggested.
"You never fail to surprise me,Aki" she chuckled.
