Meech
I opened the door letting Kennedy in. Immediately I could tell something was wrong. She looked like she had been crying prior before coming here. I gave her side hug greeting her.
"nice place" was all she said walking inside.
"You want something to drink?" I asked while she sat down on the couch.
"no I'm good" she said trying to force a smile.
"What's wrong Ken?" I asked
"nothing" she responded. I could tell she was lying.
"Tell me so we can fix it," I said looking at her. Kennedy just stared at her hands.
"It's not about us, it's just my shitty life" she said looking up from her hands and finally making eye contact with me.
"Shit, Ken what happened?" I grabbed her hand and held it.
"my brother decided to cut me off, if I don't help him," her voice cracked. "But this is not your problem. I have to fix it myself"
"Nah fuck all that. We in this together Ken, I got you no matter what" I said reassuring her. "Whatever you need Ken just tell me," I stared into her eyes while she stared back at me. She nodded and tears started to flow from eyes and she quickly tried to wipe them.
"thank you," she said in a meek voice. "I don't deserve you,"
"you must've been fucking with them bum ass niggas, imma take care of you" I said getting up and pecking her on the lips.
My phone buzzed twice on the table. "Hold on Ken imma go take this" I said taking my phone and going into my room.
"What's up Dee?" I said answering the phone.
"You probably wanna get down here, I don't want to discuss it over the phone," he replied
"Aight bet give me a few," I said before ending the call.
I walked out to the living room where Ken was dozing off.
"Ken?" I said waking her up. She looked up at me annoyed that I woke her up.
"Huh?"
"I have to go okay, I'll be back," I told her
"Where are you going?"
"I just got to handle some business," I said and she sighed . "I'll be back in a minute," I said kissing her cheek while she rolled her eyes.
"Okay but don't take too long" she said returning back to her nap.

I dapped Dee up while he gave me a blunt. We sat in the trap house just smoking for a few minutes before we talked.
"you hear jojo got caught up?" Dee asked, "just this afternoon man, they saying he facing up to 30 years."
"Shit is crazy right now," was all I could say. Me and Jojo wasn't buddy buddy but he knew not to step on my toes and that's why I had some respect for him.
