"what're you talking about?" y/n scoffed, looking at her loving husband in disbelief.

"you know..." he stated, blinking. y/n's expression didn't change; confusion evident everywhere on her face before she slowly shook her head in disagreement. "don't you think he'll ask us how we met?"

"no? if he was going too he would've asked that when he was four." y/n sighed, getting up from her kitchen counter to grab a bottle of water.

"what if he has a school report on us & his family tree, or whatever." kunimi sighed, turning around to look at his wife shrug.

"does he have a school report on us?" she asked, looking at the male while he sighed with a nod.

"some stupid family tree project. he asked how we met a while ago and i have absolutely no clue what to tell him." kunimi shrugged. "told him to ask you."

"you told him... to ask me." she deadpanned. "i don't have a lie for him. and a while ago? when is this due?"

"monday." akira mumbled, walking away before y/n could say anything.

"we met in high school." she shrugged to her 14 year old son who was typing away on his phones notes.

"okay but, how?" he rolled his eyes, "obviously you both met in high school." he mumbled.

"watch your tone or im sending you back to akira for this." she huffed, snapping her fingers and patting her foot on the ground.

akio's posture straightened. he seriously did not want to go back to his dad for help on this assignment. akira gave him nothing he needed- not even about his side of the family.

"sorry mom," he mumbled, waiting for her to continue. she sighed, sitting beside her son on the couch in the living room before crossing her legs to think.

"hm, well we met in highschool. we were in the same class of course. zoe & uncle kindaichi helped us after i went to one his games- i guess. it's pretty much a cliche." she mumbled, throwing out some of the important memories and trying to it pretty vague.

"uh-huh. thanks." akio mumbled, standing up from the couch to go to his room. he'd come to the conclusion both of his parents were useless in helping him with this assignment.

another 0 won't hurt. he thought, shrugging. if he was starting to get desperate he'd just ask uncle josh, but for right now he didn't care. he'd just play video games until it gathered the motivation to bullshit it enough to get at least a passing grade.
