Narrator: Someone

Y/N can't really explain why or how it happens, but one minute she's decided to focus on Haley, the next, she's pinned to a hotel bed with Billie straddling her waist. She can't quite recall, either, when things have shifted – nor if they'd even shifted at all, to be completely honest.

But she for sure can say that she's tried to stick to her plans – focusing on her own relationships and fucking Billie if requested. And for the most part, it's worked.

Yet, she'd be somewhat lying if she swore she never, in a million years, saw it coming. Small, meaningless stuff have been happening, and they probably would've gone unnoticed to an ignorant eye. But these small, weird behaviors kept showing up, until there were too many occurrences Y/N simply could no longer ignore.

Turns out Billie's been longing for Y/N. For the most part, things had gone back to normal, but Billie hadn't found her old self yet – the pre-blond, pre-bangs, pre-girly self.

And turns out, after all, Billie doesn't like normal very much – especially if it means she has to hang around Y/N's brand new toy. However, at first, she hadn't caught up to events.

Billie had invited Zoe and Y/N to come along for the few festivals she had lined up; life is beautiful, firefly, global citizen - all that good stuff. Half of the reason why was that her boyfriend hadn't been able to join her for the whole thing, and everyone knows how much Billie hates how lonely it can get on the road.

So she'd offered and her friends had agreed, and Y/N had even boldly asked if Hayley could tag along. Billie couldn't see any reason to refuse – after all, she loves making new friends.

So here they were in New York, having breakfast in this big, common room, Billie munching on some vegan pastry and Zoe sitting at the table next to her, dozing off with her chin propped on the top of her water bottle.

"God, how do they have so much energy this early in the morning?" Billie licked her lips to get rid of any remaining crumbs of food and reached for her glass of water. Zoe's eyes opened and she looked in the same direction as Billie.

Y/N and Hayley were sitting crisscross on the floor, face to face with a pile of cards sitting between them.

"Who the fuck plays card at like, 10 am?" Zoe mumbled, eyes half-closed throwing a glance in Billie's direction, "Haley's so fucking weird".

"Really?" Billie's voice sounded surprised when she wipped her mouth with the sleeve of her shirt, "I like her,"

Zoe hummed though she said nothing. Until she did eventually.

"They're totally fucking," Billie suspected Zoe said this on purpose, just to set her off and see her reaction. She doubted she'd be this evil though, so instead, she tried really hard to hide the way her heart dropped to her ass.

"Nah, Y/N told me they're just friends," Billie brushed Zoe off, almost succeeding in sounding casual, but really, she was just trying to convince herself more than anything. Her best friend didn't need any persuasion though, because it seemed like her mind was already made.

"Yeah, friends who have sex together" Zoe said it in a matter-of-fact and Billie resisted the urge to slap her. She sent a glare her way – one Zoe didn't notice because her eyes were closed again – and decided she was done with this conversation.

However, she couldn't help staring the pair playing together, growing sick to her stomach how, now that Zoe had said it, she noticed every little thing she couldn't see before. The way they keep being overly physical and kept unnecessarily touching each other, the subtle glances. Suddenly, everything felt and looked so suggestive and flirty - Billie could feel some kind of unknown fury growing inside of her.
