I did not feel like going to school at all, first day in the new atmosphere of Liberty High. I was already late as I tried to find my trench coat. I always choose my outfit based on the way I feel, and I was so stressed I just wanted to disappear and hide in my long trench coat.

I jumped into my Auntie's truck as she hurried to the only place we knew in town.
'Ok, It's going to be a breeze!! Just don't act like yourself and it's gonna be ok. I'll buy you vanilla ice-cream to eat back home. Love you!', I automatically lit up and innocently smiled at the idea of eating an entire pot of ice-cream curled up in my bed. Now, daydreaming, I headed into the main building discovering a whole new world I didn't know about. After being scolded for being late and given my timetable. I was now facing a slightly opened door, catching my breath before knocking.

I calmly walked in, freezing before the professor, who was a young woman.
'Oh, you're the new student. Lily, isn't it?', I nodded.
'You're late hmm...., we were just finishing the chapter on the Cold War. Go ahead, introduce yourself?', I turned around facing the whole class, locking eyes with the exit sign at the back of the class.
'I'm Lily. I'm a girl, I like vanilla ice-cream and my favorite band is Twenty One Pilots. Nice to meet you all!", quiet giggles escaped from some of the students' lips while I goofily smiled at no one in particular.

'Hmm..., ok sweetheart. Go and take your seat next to Montgomery!', I looked meticulously to the boy raising his hand up and analyzed the group who was surrounding him.
'Can I sit next to the boy other there? Those people are scary!!', I said out loud not thinking it through. The so-called Monty frowned as I sat next to the skinny boy.

He seemed to shy away as I was taking my things out of my yellow bag. He examined it carefully, looking at the few pins of childish cartoon characters on it before looking up and immediately redirecting his gaze after crossing mine. My stomach grumbled as I opened my lunchbox.
'Do you like peanut butter cookies?', I whispered to the boy. He seemed to hesitate before taking one from my hand.

'Thanks.', I turned around facing an emo hedgehog offering him one as well.
'I hope you're not allergic to peanuts!', I said, still whispering. He nodded, thanking me while I offered one to the student sitting on his left. I smiled, turning back to face the board and opening the coloring book I had brought to kill time during the lesson.

The boys around me smirked at my childish activity. After 15 minutes, the bell rang as I was walking out. The skinny boy who I sat next to, named Tyler, appeared on my right, awkwardly trying to speak to me.
'Yes, we are in the same class and yes I'd like to go with you really much.', I assumed that my answer was what the boy was waiting for as a smile appeared on his face.
'Is it okay if I ask you to be my friend or is it weird?!' I asked.

The rest of the day went smoothly, I finally finished my coloring book and decided to celebrate it with auntie in the evening.
'Why are you so joyful?', oh, and I spent my day with Tyler and Cyrus, hedgehog. Tyler accepted my request to be friends, so I spent all day with him.
'I finally finished my coloring book so I'm super excited, plus auntie texted me. She bought a pot of vanilla ice-cream for me. I'm super excited now !!', I said, jumping up and down in anticipation. Tyler suddenly froze and I grabbed the end of his sleeve. I looked up , scared of the group of athletic and terrifying boys facing us.

'I say we disappear in the crowd like a Disney villain', Tyler nodded.
'Hey, new girl!!', I pulled Tyler into the crowded mass of students and ran the opposite way.
'We should go!', Tyler exclaimed and I nodded, agreeing with his statement. We arrived in the parking lot and I started searching for Auntie's navy blue truck.

'They're searching for us!', Tyler whispered looking at the main entrance where Montgomery and some other scary boys were.
'There!', I grabbed his arm and ran to the truck, opening the back door and pushing him in. I got in as well screaming at auntie to drive away.

'What the hell was that? Who's this?', I looked back at Tyler, who seemed terrified and back to my Auntie who was playing with the lollipop in her mouth.
'Auntie, this is Tyler, my new friend. Tyler, this is Auntie and yeah, she looks like a teen but she isn't.', Tyler shyly waved, awkwardly smiling to her. She grabbed the first bag of candy she could find and offered it to the boy.
'And why were the two of you running like superheros in an action movie?', Tyler chuckled, finally understanding where I got my childish behavior from. I smiled, excited to tell her.
'First, where do you live Tyler?', I turned back to him, agreeing with my auntie.
'1201 Liberty Avenue, thanks! I should maybe call my parents because I was supposed to stay at the photo laboratory', I nodded, smiling back to the road. I then told auntie about my exciting adventure stuffing smurf candies in my mouth.
'There you go kiddo! We'll wait for you to walk until you're in! See you soon.'
'See you tomorrow Ty!', we waited for Tyler to walk in and for Auntie to wave at Tyler's mother sweetly.
