This is the story of how I met Juliette. And it's also the story of how I almost died.
Not really. I didn't actually die, I just kinda passed out due to nerves, and ended up having hallucinations for like, five minutes.
Horrifying experience really.
But this story isn't about me, it's about her. It's about Juliette Bennet, and how she grew up in some sketchy apartment, watching multiple YouTube videos and random television shows to pass time, her mother never letting her out into the sunshine, and her sitting by her window, wishing to go to Vidcon.
Also, there's one thing I forgot to mention. She had purple hair.
-----
It all basically started when her crazy 'mother' found some weird flower growing in a field. She was going to flower picking, humming a tune under her breath as she picked every daisy and dandelion in sight.
But while she was humming, she noticed some weird flower glowing nearby behind some bushes, and bang, that's how she discovered the magical flower made from who knows what.
So she found out that the flower gave her youth everytime she sang a song along to that certain tune, which led to her visiting the field everyday, making herself look like a twenty year old.
In case I didn't mention, this crazy lady's name was Susan Galeotti.
Anyway, Susan kept up her routine of keeping herself youthful and attractive, preventing her black hair from going white or grey, and stopping any wrinkles from appearing on her pale face.
The only problem was, a flower can't live forever, and the routine is had with Susan didn't exactly lengthen it's life span.
The day she saw the flower lose a petal, she knew that she had to do something. Cut it, keep it in a jar, who knows.
So after a day's research, she found out that some people like to put flowers into weird elixirs, giving it to people to cure ailments or sicknesses.
That was perfect. And after some more thinking and researching, she found out that it would be best to give the elixir to a heavily sick and pregnant woman. Why?
Because the flower's powers would transfer to the newborn child.
----
The next day, she went to nearby hospitals, searching for the perfect candidate she could give the elixir to.
Much to her luck, she found someone. And that someone was a famous woman, known for her talents and videos on a certain website called YouTube.
Her husband, well, the same thing went for him. They were the famous internet couple known as Braudrey.
Also known as, Brayden Daisley and Audrey Samuelson-Bennet.
It turns out that Audrey was sick with the flu while at the hospital, also coincidentally being eight and a half months into pregnancy.
This was just wonderful for Susan.
The second she found out about the famous couple, she threw on a nurse's outfit, getting past the other employees while attracting no attention to herself.
"Here dearie, the doctor wants you to take this. It will help with your flu, I assure you," Susan said sweetly, giving her the warm mug full of sweet potion.
Audrey seemed skeptical, but the nurse didn't seem harmful. So with a shrug of her shoulders, she drank the fluids down, her flu miraculously going away in the next hour.
There was one cost to it though.
It ended up leading to Audrey giving birth in the hour after that, and no way was Susan prepared. Quickly, she exited the room, taking refuge in the baby nursery knowing very well that the baby would end up in the nursery not too long from then.
-----
Approximately four hours later, baby Juliette was wheeled in, set in between two other babies.
Susan leaped from her seat, eyes widening at the sight of the child.
Juliette had purple hair, the same shade as the flower.
With a menacing grin, she watched as all the nurses gathered around in a corner, all busy with a fussy baby who kept wailing and flailing.
So with a pick of a lock, she snuck her way into the room, gently picking up a sleepy Juliette before she quietly left the room.
-----
The pair had to go deep into hiding, and by deep, I mean way deep.
So Susan Galeotti and baby Juliette Bennet took a long road trip across the country, moving from Los Angeles, California, to New York City.
It was a huge inconvenience for Susan, who had to search for apartments fast, needing someplace to hide the stolen child before anyone took notice.
Luckily for her, after quite a bit of convincing and flirting with a certain landlord, she landed quite a good deal with the highest apartment, a secret staircase leading down to a salon underneath.
Susan got a job at that salon, working everyday, giving haircuts and dying teenagers' hair, occasionally going up to check on her precious flower child, asking her to sing whenever she felt like her hair or face was aging.
The powers Juliette had were quite remarkable, her dark purple hair lighting up to a shade of lilac everytime she sang for her 'mother'.
But out of fear of people noticing young Juliette and asking why her hair was purple, or even suggesting a haircut, she decided to homeschool her in their apartment, keeping her hidden from everyone else.
And that's why, after 18 years have passed, Juliette was still locked up in her tower-like apartment, always longingly looking out the window with curiosity, her only pass time being Youtube videos and Netflix, her birthday wish always being her 'mother' allowing her to go to Vidcon.
