For the rest of that night, she sat crying silently in her closet, wiping her eyes and nose every couple seconds, constantly trying to make her sniffles unheard.

The fact that Susan said no to her dying her hair wasn't what made her upset, to be honest. But it was the words she told her that brought her to the point of crying.

Juliette didn't ever mean to upset her mother. She didn't ever mean to even make her feel like she was just trying to make her angry and ruin her day.

But even if she didn't mean to, she did. And that was she ended up crying harder, bringing up her knees to her chest as she sobbed.

She had no idea that she was doing all this.

---------

Later that evening, she crawled out of her closet once she managed to get herself to stop crying, then crawling into her bed as she tucked herself under the blanket, burying her face in her pillows, squeezing her eyes shut.

Thankfully sleep helped her escape the tension, and she was able to relax for those few hours.

Waking up at eight the next morning, she rubbed her eyes, sitting up in bed, looking around at the now bright room.

Light was shining through her window, reflecting off her mirror above her cabinets.

Another day, meaning another day in which she'd wait for her life would begin.

Believe her, she was grateful for everything she had, her laptop, clothes, food, a roof to live under.

But staying inside 24/7..... It was great, you had Internet, Netflix, food. But it got boring after 18 years, having no interaction with the exception of one girl who managed to find some weird secret entrance to your apartment.

Aside from that, Juliette was basically a hermit. A hermit who longed to go outside even for one day just to experience. She wanted to go to the store, and go get her own food. She wanted to live.

Well, she can't waste time thinking. If this was her life, then so be it. Managing to get out of bed, she stretched, going out of her room to start cleaning.

Piper had another handful of popcorn, eyes widened at Juliette's tale from last night. "So she just kinda exploded on you?"

"Well, I wouldn't say she exploded. She just.... Snapped?"

"Jules," she said with a disapproving look. "That's pretty much the same thing."

"I know, but snapped sounds less violent," she argued, snatching the bag back into her arms. "I pushed her to that point, it's my fault anyway."

"You literally asked her a question."

"And it stressed her out more than it should have, I know. But I hate making my mom feel like this. I just wanted to dye my hair," she explained with sorrow, sighing as she put a handful of popcorn in her mouth, chewing thoughtfully.

Piper shrugged, grabbing a handful as well. "I dunno, Jules. My mom isn't like that."

"Our moms are different, then. And there's nothin wrong with that."

"Whatever you say. But for the record, this isn't healthy. She can't keep you locked up in this tower forever."

"Piper, it's an apartment."

"Sure seems like a tower. You must be Rapunzel," she said jokingly, laughing lightly. "Ooh, who's your Prince Charming?"

"I'm not Rapunzel, and I'm pretty sure Prince Charming would have to climb up like Spider-Man or something to meet me," she said with a shake of her head, trying to hide the smile on her face.

"Or maybe he's like a dashing prince who breaks into the secret entrance I came into, and then it's love at first sight and he carries you off to Vidcon."

"Oh shut it, that's never gonna happen."

"Never say never, Juliette."
