|If it says this chapter was just published, it was not! I just fixed mistakes and grammatical errors! Chapter 1 should be coming out within the next few days.|
"You've seen her, you've heard her. Valarie Michaels from Woodsboro, the girl who defied the odds."
The brunette sat eating her breakfast as her mother read the news. "Val they consider you a hero!" She shook her head. "No, they consider me a victim. Just because I made it out alive. They are going to throw all this nonsense my way to make me feel better."
It was difficult to handle the deaths of her loved friends. Most made it out, besides Tatum, and Casey. The two bubbly blondes were gone, and there was nothing she could do. The phone rang causing Valarie to jump. "It's okay sweetheart, it's probably just Billy!" Val nodded as the older woman picked it up.
"Anita speaking," her bright and cheery voice echoed through the kitchen. "Will do! See you in a few!" She hung up the phone and turned to her daughter. "Speak of the devil! He's on his way to pick you up!" Valarie looked up at her mother who ushered her back to her room. "Make yourself look presentable! Right now you look like a wrinkly mess!" Valarie rolled her eyes. "Thanks, mom," She called walking into her room.
Over the past few months, Valarie had still been unable to decode what her mother meant. Did she mean to look presentable for the press, or the fact that she needed to impress Billy, who had somehow managed to convince Valarie's father to let them date?
The world may never know.
She threw on a black shirt, paired with a yellow plaid skirt. Her hair was already pulled back into a ponytail, so nothing needed to be done with it. There was a knock on her front door, signaling for her to come down. She made her way downstairs and spotted the male at the door. He held a small bouquet of red roses in his hands. The brunette smiled.
"Here, I saw these and thought of you," He held them out to her and Valarie put her hand on her chest, then took them. She took a deep smell of the flowers. "Here, why don't I take these, and put them in a vase, you two go off and have fun!" Valarie nodded to her mom and looped her arm around his.
The couple walked down to Billy's car. Stu sat in the back seat and waved to Valarie as she sat down in the passenger. "Goodmorning Stu," She spoke buckling herself. "Hey, Angel!" He gripped her shoulder in a comforting way. Billy started the car and the group drove away. "So what's up?"
"We were just talking about plans for this summer, have a little drive, nothing too special." Billy's hand fell onto her knee. After the events in October, the school continued as usual. The vice principle took over Principle Himbry, and the school continued on as normal. Tatum, Casey, Steve, and every other lost soul were left behind.
She hummed in response. "Do you want to go on vacation or something?" Stu sat up in his seat. "Bingo! With the restitution money we got from the court, we decided to book a little get-away in Tennessee! There is a cabin in the mountains, with a beautiful view! Billy and I planned to get jobs up there so that we can stay for however long we want!" The girl turned back to look at the dirty blonde. "Are you serious?" The two boys nodded. "Holy shit! I could just kiss you!" Billy waved his hand in a 'get on with it' kind of way, so Valarie began climbing into the back seat.
They laughed at the girl's excitement as she took Stu's face into her hands and placed a kiss on his lips. "Don't leave me out! What the fuck?" Valarie laughed and kissed him along his cheek and jawline. "We are leaving on June 1st, so you have to be packed by then." She nodded and sat back in the seat next to Billy. Stu played and combed through her hair. She rolled down the window and let the breeze hit her face.
Valarie held her hand out the window and moved it in the wind. After a very long time, she finally felt safe.
(A/N): Finally it is complete! Yes it was short, and yes it wasn't the best, but it is at least an upload. I've had to re-write this a few times because it just didn't seem right, so I'm sorry if this sucked, but I'm hoping to get better as this goes on.
UP COMING SPOILERS SHALL NOT BE SAID IN THE COMMENTS!!!
If you hear any sort of spoiler, or something eluding to a spoiler in my writing, DO NOT TALK ABOUT IT! You can talk about it to me in a private message, but not in the public comments, please and thank you!
Love you all! <3
