*Knock Knock*

" Come in." I saved my progress and went back to my home screen. My desk was messy but considering what was going on in my employer's office, I think its fine.

" Legal counsel is here come to the board room." I stood up and slip my feet into my flat shoe, Yes fuck Red.

It has been a shit storm of a morning well into the afternoon. News has got out that Stoffinski's Family is backing a certain political figure and it turned out to be untrue. All morning has been about damage control and finding the culprit who cooked up this ridiculous story.

I ordered lunch a few minutes ago so it laid across the big oak table in the middle of the board room untouched and cold.

" Samella come here." I moved like a snake to avoid bumping into anyone. " Be my witness as I sign this dotted line." He scribbled his signature a few times while flipping pages. As he did so I look at his forehead, dotted with sweat.

" His entourage should be here soon, get them situated in the meeting room across the god damn compound. I have a fucking feeling they cooked up this shit and I am this fucking close to killing somebody." He had his sleeves rolled up and his jacket was on the floor back in his office.

" Don't fuck this up. Do not let them bullshit you just get them to the room and stay put. Got it?" His eyes were bloodshot and he gripped my forearm firmly before guiding me towards the door.

" I'll accompany her-" Red spoke up behind me as we step outside the room with constant chattering.

" No, Evon can do that." He snapped in his direction briefly, spoke to him then look towards me.

" I don't think I need to tell you to keep your phone close right?" He arched an eyebrow at me as he opened the door with his right hand

" No Sir, I'll let you know if anything happens." He nods and disappears into the room but before Red could follow he paused to say something.

" If there was never a time to use that strong personality of yours, I think today is the day." He smirked, " I meant that euphemistically of course."

" Of course." I smiled sweetly and took off, towards my office, my plan is to bring my iPad along, recording them might be illegal without their permission but it's more believable than the words coming from my mouth.

All of my boss's phone calls will be redirected to my phone as long as it relates to matters regarding issues in house. I felt the pressure

" They are here, about to enter the lobby." Evon informed me as I nervously fiddle with my pen as the elevator moves down to the ground floor.

" Okay as long as they don't wander off we'll be okay. Do I look nervous?" He puckered his lips as a response and I chose to interpret that as a 'yes'.
The door lid open and I made my way through, the cool winds off the beach wip my already messy hair do all across my face.

The closer I got to hear them the angrier I got, they weren't being nice at all.

"- We are VIP we shouldn't be here waiting, SOmeone should be here waiting to escort us, even to to take our bags but here we are-" she spoke passively aggressive towards Ms ***.

" You are not here as a VIP or anything close to that, your here to clean up a mess from your camp so do not speak to anyone like that." I stop an arms length away from the lady. A taller man stood behind her and then a shorter blonde woman, dressed in campaign apparel carrying a briefcase.

" You are?"

" Doesn't matter who I might be, I'm here to escort you to a waiting room. Follow please." I smile and gesture with my hand for her to follow, but she doesn't.
