"I'm so glad you are alright." Brody says softly. I sit in a chair in between Ethan and Katelyn and I fall into Ethan's lap. I can't believe this is happening right now. I can't even begin in fathom the amount of stress, anxiety, and regret I have flowing through my veins right now. Ethan sits beside me and I just look at him. The pain and worry in his eyes. "Cami...what happened?" Ethan asks. "We we're driving. Shawn and I started to argue and he wasn't paying attention and a truck came out of nowhere." I say choking on my words and I feel Ethan wrap his arms around me and pull me into his chest. A few hours later one of Shawn's nurses walked out and informed us that they were able to stabilize Shawn enough so that he could have visitors. We all quickly followed the nurse to Shawn's room. When we walked in Shawn was sleeping in the bed with tubes and wires coming off of him everywhere. He had a tube down his throat to help him breathe. I start to cry and hold his hand. "I'm so sorry Shawn this is all my fault." I feel a hand on my back. "Hey girl this is not your fault okay." Katelyn says rubbing my back. I nod and just kiss his hand as Ethan breaks down on the other side of the bed. Katelyn goes to Ethan and he falls into her arms. "I- I can't do this." He cries out. "Ethan look at me..." She says grabbing his face. "You need to be strong right now he needs you okay." Everyone then formed a circle around him and just touched him to give him comfort. After about an hour of us talking about the good and funny times almost everyone went home besides Ethan, Katelyn, George and I.

Over the next week Shawn slowly started to get better, and it made us very hopeful. Luckily when they brought him in they were able to stabilize him, which meant Shawn had a much higher chance of making a full recovery. Everyone has been taking turns to visit him but Ethan and I haven't left his side.

(One month later)
Shawn could now finally breathe on his own and like always Ethan and I are sitting by his side on both sides of the bed. "Shawn just please wake up..." I say holding his hand to my lips. I then feel his grip tighten a little and I tap Ethan awake. "Ethan...Ethan....he's opening his eyes...wake up." Ethan pops up and looks at Shawn and smiles. Shawn slowly opens his eyes and lifts up his head. "You're awake! I can't believe it! I have to call everyone." "What's going on? What happened and why do I feel like I got ran over by a truck?" Wow Shawn the irony in that. "You and Cami got into a car accident, Shawn. Don't you remember?" "No...not really." Shawn tried to lift himself up and realized that he couldn't move. "Why...why can't I move my legs?" He asks looking at Ethan and I. Ethan looked back at me with pain in his eyes and back at Shawn. "When you had the accident...you broke your back and it caused you to become paralyzed. But don't freak out yet, the doctor said that you might have a good chance of walking again." "Might?" Shawn said choking his words.
"Yes Shawn...might..." "Oh god...."
"Shawn I'm sorry."
